If it seems like we just did a post on reparations, we did, just yesterday. Squad member Rep. Cori Bush announced that she would be working to secure $14 trillion in federal reparations for descendants of slaves. Bush suggested the government could take the money it spends overseas and on defense to fund her reparations program.
When we say this Florida man would settle for just $3 million per person, it’s because the City of San Francisco’s reparations task force has set the number at $5 million per person, along with the elimination of personal debt and tax burdens, guaranteed annual incomes of at least $97,000 for 250 years, and homes in San Francisco for just $1 a family. In California, there have been calls for $200 million per person.
This Florida man explained to the Tampa City Council why $3 million per person was the correct amount:

Democrats seem to own this issue. So why have they dragged their feet on reparations for so long? Why is Bush out there doing all the work? Someone ask Karine Jean-Pierre if her boss supports reparations and how much.
