We always take women more seriously when they coordinate their outfits as a show of “resistance.” The Democratic Women’s Caucus dressed in white Wednesday to show its resistance to the extreme MAGA anti-abortion agenda. Extreme MAGA’s anti-abortion agenda was made clear Wednesday when extreme MAGA Republicans voted to condemn attacks on crisis pregnancy centers and churches and to require medical care for a baby that was born alive after a botched abortion.
That’s it. Those are the two “anti-abortion” measures that the GOP took Wednesday. Three Democrats did cross the aisle and condemn the firebombing of crisis pregnancy centers. But Democrats argued that it would endanger the child’s life to rush it to the hospital rather than let it die by denying it medical treatment. That’s right: If you mess up the abortion and deliver the baby alive, you still have a chance to kill it through neglect.
So let’s hear it for these brave women in white who will always stand up for access to abortion care:

And they’re all smiles, too. So if providing medical care to a baby that’s born alive is “extreme MAGA,” what is the moderate position, because Democrats seem to think it’s letting the baby die. They’re serious: If a baby isn’t wanted, it isn’t wanted, ever. Do they at least stop calling it a fetus once it’s been delivered?
