If you don’t know who Lizzo is, that doesn’t matter, because all you need to know is that on Tuesday night she played a 200-year-old crystal flute on loan from the Library of Congress.

Amanda Harding reports for The Daily Wire:
The 34-year-old rap artist claimed to be the first person ever to play a 200-year-old crystal flute lent to her by The Library of Congress. The instrument was previously owned by founding father James Madison, the fourth president of the United States.
“B****, I just twerked and played James Madison’s flute from the 1800s!” she hollered from the stage during a stop in our nation’s capital as part of her Special Tour, according to The Daily Mail.
…
“I am the first person to ever play it, so you’re about to hear what it sounds like for the first time,” Lizzo said. “Thank you to the Library of Congress for preserving our history and making history cool. History is freaking cool, you guys!”

Sierra Fox of Fox 5 in Washington, D.C. said it was “super amazing to witness.”
“HISTORY IS FREAKIN’ COOL” –@lizzo! Of course – it’s the nation’s capital so @SecretService & @CapitolPolice joined her on stage. Why? Because she is the FIRST ever to play President James Madison’s 1813 crystal flute courtesy of @librarycongress. Super amazing to witness! pic.twitter.com/aQRSsVhrv0

Hearing @lizzo play some of the Library's priceless antique instruments on Monday was such a gift, and we were honored and happy to help her share that gift with her concert audience Tuesday night. They took a legendary 200-year-old crystal flute out of storage so that Lizzo could play two notes on it.
The purpose is to remind you that nothing you care about has any value. https://t.co/3L4PaUZ9qZ

People defending the Library of Congress sound like “There’s no difference between reading the original Constitution and cleaning yourself up with it.”

Marxist playbook, Chapter One.

Can we start a crowdfunding project to buy Lizzo some trousers? Maybe a poncho?
— MAGA Force Official Dance Squad (@RedFrontline) September 28, 2022
They should have found her some 200 year old pants.

Um…this is gross.

Good lesson for me. I had no idea our federal government was in possession of a magic crystal flute and glad to see a well funded security staff protecting it.

I mean a half clothed, 400 pound woman playing a flute that belonged to one of our Founders is by itself a moment for @smod4real. pic.twitter.com/gQKl5Crtvz

I get what you're saying but my level of caring about that flute is about as low as levels can get.

What is saying is that he’s mad because they let a black woman play the flute … at least that’s the consensus in the comments.
