We saw this video floating around Thursday but couldn’t find much context to it, so we held onto it until we found out more. The father of the boy has since appeared on Fox News Digital to tell his side of the story, so it’s as bad as it looks. Check this out: They won’t let a 4-year-old into the building because he’s not wearing a mask.
Principal for @mvwschools called police on a four-year old for not wearing a mask.
The officer was cordial and understanding, but the child could not stay. The child has missed school most of this week.
There is no state or county school mask mandate where this school resides. pic.twitter.com/etfXFR11sJ

This same school allows maskless adults use its gym in the evening for recreational basketball, but is forcing kids as young as four to mask indoors all day.

Silicon Valley progressives want to defund police, except for the police they call on young children who dare to show their unmasked faces outdoors. https://t.co/aJjzMeMMdx

Here’s a pretty lengthy thread on the Board of Trustees meeting held after the incident:
I watched the @mvwschools Board of Trustees meeting tonight. It was about what you would expect from a district where a principal called the police on a 4-year-old for daring to show his face at school. 🧵https://t.co/iMOgV7Lhda

The superintendent presented some slides to show that masking works.🙄 I'm sure one of you can debunk these off the top of your head. pic.twitter.com/l7bW6M8blV

The superintendent announced tonight that masks won't be required starting tomorrow for kids like the one in the video. Yay! However, they will still be required in some situations, like for kids playing wind instruments and singing. 🤯 pic.twitter.com/ntWgpcR5Kd

Remember those photos of kids playing instruments masked? Still happening in Santa Clara County! They discussed they have no clue if there is data to support their choice. Asst Sup. Cathy Baur just thought it made sense. A choir teacher is demanding KN95s on kids while singing. pic.twitter.com/6Ix5B5QzGp

It sounds like @mvwschools will very likely reimpose a mask mandate as soon as levels of community transmission go up again, as they inevitably will with a seasonal respiratory virus like Covid. pic.twitter.com/eqR4nn3Rvh

The part that really got my blood boiling was trustee @DevonWConley's presentation on supposed purveyors of misinformation. She attacked the heroes of @urgencyofnormal for expressing opinions that are "outside the medical mainstream." pic.twitter.com/ojj8mfwCw3

Conley specifically attacked the amazing @VPrasadMDMPH, saying that he has been accused of being anti-semitic, spreading misinformation, and "fear-mongering." She mentioned that he had inspired a Twitter account to harass him. How is that relevant to his credibility?? pic.twitter.com/VGqDjhjeW2
— Laura Powell (@_Iaura_) August 19, 2022
Conley then launched into a smear against the wonderful @TracyBethHoeg. Ironically, as evidence that Tracy can't be trusted because her views aren't mainstream enough, Conley points out Tracy supports doctors' rights to express non-mainstream opinions! pic.twitter.com/jqFvWpAH2O

Conley next complained about CA Parents United, a group with no association to @urgencyofnormal, and then showed a letter by some anonymous wacko. The way she lumps these groups together for no reason other than they all oppose masks on kids is unconscionable. pic.twitter.com/hv23fnFUoa

@profechiang had some thoughtful comments, but he seemed most troubled by the fact that that someone had posted the video of a principal calling the police on a preschooler on social media. He doesn't want outsiders knowing what goes on in their district.

I will say, the superintendent and trustees of @mvwschools all spoke politely and seemed well intentioned. If they saw their policies are actually mad and monstrous—not "reasonable, sensible, and scientific" (using Board Pres. Blakely's words)—I imagine they would be horrified. pic.twitter.com/r9MXIA9dQv

Here is Assistant Superintendent Cathy Baur explaining the thought process about masking in music classes. That's some rigorous scientific thinking right there. https://t.co/B90Fwn0Nv9

Science!
What entity is paying off principals and school board members in blue states to keep this up? Why do blue states tolerate this being done to their kids? Are they so determined to not get red state cooties that they don’t care that their kids will never recover from these losses?

They’re just tyrannical. That’s it.
— April Wine (@largeblackmail) August 19, 2022
I honestly don't even like kids unless they are dehumanized and suffocating. Also, it is easier to abuse a dehumanized child and that's the point isn't it.

These teachers can all go to hell.
I’d resign my job before I would force a mask on babies.
It’s pure evil to make children suffer for no good reason at all.

Fox News reports:
As Fox News Digital recently reported, the father of a 4-year-old California boy in transitional kindergarten said school officials called the police this past Thursday to boot his son from class over the young child’s refusal to adhere to a district mask policy.
The father, named Shawn (who requested that Fox News Digital not use his last name), said he opposed the Mountain View Whisman School District mandate.
The child, who was not named, was in class on Friday after the district relaxed the policy during a Thursday meeting.
“He basically looked like a PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder] victim,” Shawn told Fox News Digital about his son, who started transitional kindergarten last week in the San Francisco suburb of Mountain View.
“He was inconsolable for about two hours.”
