As Twitchy reported yesterday, the Austin Statesman and KVUE-TV put together body cam footage and security cam footage of the Robb Elementary School massacre in Uvalde, Texas, to show how events played out in real-time. What we saw were plenty of cops in the school hallway sanitizing their hands and checking their phones. After the shooting, we heard from plenty of liberals that if police are too afraid of AR-15s to confront a shooter who has one, then AR-15s have to be banned.
Sen. Chris Murphy had a similar take, and in his replies was a meme put together by Occupy Democrats.
The Uvalde video puts to bed, forever, the question of whether the way to deal with bad guys with guns is to make sure there are more good guys with guns.
We've always known it was a gun industry created lie, designed to sell more guns. Now we just have the gut wrenching proof.

Actually Chris what the Uvalde video shows is you can’t trust law enforcement to protect you from bad guys all the time.
Sometimes you have to protect yourself.

Agreed. No one needs a gun for self defense because they can just call the trained professional cops who will show up and…uh…stand around….and…um…sanitize their hands while you’re being beaten or stabbed or shot to death.
Great tweet, senator, really sparkling insights.

No one, except maybe you, thinks the cops standing in that hallway meet the definition of "good guys."
— John Sexton (@verumserum) July 13, 2022
Wasn't the "good guys with guns" thing referring to bystanders, not police? If both armed police and armed civilians aren't the way to respond to shooters, what's the way?

“Cops won’t protect you” is not the gun control argument you think it is. https://t.co/IhWQ6ADwX0

Are you really this stupid?!

Here’s the meme:

The cops had them too

Thats weird, each cop had one also, and body armor. The cops NOT doing their job is the problem
— Travis (@spin_kick) July 13, 2022
It seems like a really good argument for us having assault rifles, not that we need one. https://t.co/5LphTz1Isg
— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) July 13, 2022
Nothing says "I need an 'assault rifle'" more than "the cops won't even protect my children from a lunatic when they themselves have 'assault rifles' and vests", because if they're not willing to take a bullet to save kids, we are. https://t.co/bJiqg9vc5u

Sounds like a solid argument to keep them. https://t.co/r5xOfAnnvu

Plenty are asking who the government is going to send to confiscate all of the public’s AR-15s if they’re so frightened of them.
