We’ve covered a couple of CNN town halls with President Joe Biden. He did one in mid-February, a couple of days after which CNN’s in-house fact-checker was “still looking into some of the claims made.” Biden also did a town hall with Don Lemon in July, which went a little something like this:

Big news: Biden is set to do yet another CNN town hall this Thursday with Anderson Cooper!
Number of Anderson Cooper town halls as President: 2
Number of sit downs w/ WSJ, NYT, or Wapo reporters (not columnists): 0

CBS News’ Mark Knoller is Washington, D.C.’s numbers guy, and here’s his breakdown:
Biden back at the WH from Peace Officer Memorial at the Capitol.
His latest Weekend Scoreboard
-19 weekends at home in Delaware
-10 weekends at Camp David
-9 weekends at the WH
-1 weekend overseas (G7/UK)— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) October 16, 2021
Updated Biden interview count is 10.
— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) October 19, 2021
.@markknoller may have an updated count but Biden had done a fraction of the interviews that Trump or Obama had done at this point in their presidencies. https://t.co/VlAhwhJUWA

# of sit downs w/ Politico, also 0

Recommended
But Politico is “a rightwing propaganda organization” that ran an article critical of the Afghanistan bug-out.
It's a bit self-serving to pt. out, obviously
But Biden has said he really wants to get out and sell the agenda to the country.
It may be harder to do that only through staged events. He's just not doing many interviews, even w/ reporters or other non-DC outlets.— Alex Thompson (@AlexThomp) October 18, 2021
And he will confine all (limited) appearances to “friendlies” such as CNN or MSNBC.
— Paul Morelli (@PaulOPinion) October 19, 2021
Why would he? Mainstream journalists will continue to run cover for his administration and never hold him accountable.

The replies – imagine being triggered by pointing out a president who doesn’t take or answer questions
— Jim Muessig (@JimMuessig) October 18, 2021
There will definitely not be plants in the audience to ask dumb irrelevant questions. CNN wouldn't do that.
— Josh Fields (@partiallypro) October 18, 2021
Well, if those other legacy media outlets give him the questions in advance like CNN does, maybe he'll grace them with an interview.

And the 100 viewers will still learn nothing
— Tina 🇺🇸 (@tinanyfl) October 18, 2021
We still find it hilarious all of the people who say Biden doesn’t sit down with the press because he’s working so hard cleaning up the mess left by the former guy he doesn’t have time.
