We hadn’t heard that there was going to be a National Black Power Convention in Tulsa, Oklahoma this weekend until we saw a tweet of well-armed New Black Panthers marching on their way there. We didn’t do a post then because we’re all for all Americans exercising their Second Amendment rights, even though every liberal on Twitter seems to think the sight of a black man carrying an AR-15 is all it would take for the GOP to demand gun control.

The convention didn’t get a lot of national coverage, but the conservative-leaning BizPac Review decided it was time for a write-up after seeing a couple of clips pop up online.

Tom Tillison reports:

The National Black Power Convention was held over the weekend in Tulsa, Okla., to mark the 100-year anniversary of the Black Wall Street Massacre. Events included a Second Amendment March for Reparations, with many participants exercising their right to open carry.

A disturbing video making the rounds online captures a speech from a man some see as a “black supremacist,” purportedly being given in Tulsa on Saturday.

“We’re pushing death to white supremacy. Death to capitalism. Death to imperialism. And death to fascism,” the unidentified man with a bullhorn said. “We are pushing an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a head for a head and a life for a life.”

“Because that time will come when there’s a rat-a-tat-tat,” he said. “Black Americans will kill everything white in sight.”

He ranted on about a “black nation” and giving “crackers hell, from the cradle to the grave.”

“Goddamn right!” a man in the crowd cries out.

Here are a couple of videos:

Fox affiliate KTUL reported that the theme of the convention was “Reparations Now!”

“The struggle for Reparations must be escalated,” a news release from organizers read. “We must fight on every front to achieve redress and Reparations for the atrocities committed upon Tulsa Massacre descendants; and we must intensify the fight to achieve Reparations for all 40-million Blacks still grossly affected by racism, inequality, wealth disparity, police brutality and the like. Tulsa will mark a new beginning in the upgraded fight for Reparations for Black people.”

Groups represented at the convention included the Huey P Newton Gun Club, the Elmer Geronimo Pratt Gun Club, the New Black Panther Party for Self- Defense, the Fred Hampton Gun Club, the New Black Liberation Militia, the Panther Special Operations Command, and ANUBIS. We’re looking for all the usual hot takes from liberals asking why any civilian needs an AR-15 to suggest the members of all of these groups are compensating for small penises.

Funny about that complete lack of a national media presence. Had it been a five-member white militia group marching, though, it would have made headlines.

One TV station covered the march.

Poor militia members can be just as smart and talented as white militia members.
