The tweet that kicks off this thread seems like more of the same anti-Semitism coming from the Left, but if you read the Yahoo News story that goes along with it, it’s actually an indictment of an entire school district’s ability to teach history. In other words, it’s worse than it sounds.
Spanish River (Boca Raton, FL) High’s principal, William Latson, refused to call the Holocaust a fact saying: “Not everyone believes the #Holocaust happened..It cannot be forced upon individuals, as we all have the same right but not all the same beliefs.” https://t.co/vKoFA7NXJm pic.twitter.com/UsyJ9qd3wP

So how did this come about? The mother of a student wrote to the school and asked how the Holocaust was going to be prioritized as part of the teaching of World War II, and the principal answered that Holocaust education would not be “forced on” any individuals. Yahoo News reports:
That mother, who did not want the newspaper to publish her name, reportedly told [Princial William] Latson, “The Holocaust is a factual, historical event. It is not a right or a belief.”
However, the principal insisted, “Not everyone believes the Holocaust happened and you have your thoughts but we are a public school and not all of our parents have the same beliefs so they will react differently, my thoughts or beliefs have nothing to do with this because I am a public servant. I have the role to be politically neutral but support all groups in the school…”
He added, “I can’t say the Holocaust is a factual, historical event because I am not in a position to do so as a school district employee.” Latson says his philosophy remains the same for slavery.
So what is it you say you do there at the school? Because it’s not teaching history.
This is my community high school, it’s where our children went to school. He needs to be fired. This is unacceptable. No excuses accepted

Daniel Patrick Moynihan said, "You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts."
This kind of willful historical ignorance is unacceptable, especially for a principal of an institution of learning.

This school is a few miles from my house, in a very Jewish town. He knows the Holocaust is real. This is an extreme example of trying to bend over backwards not offend anyone. Instead of being a true educator. Those women have more ethics in their fingers, then those "educators"

Take this guy to Auschwitz, US Holocaust Museum now.

I can't imagine Congressman @TedDeutch would condone, endorse, nor support this revisionist antisemitic #history #education that has infiltrated his district. This is just not in his wheelhouse. @RepTedDeutch
The school should be used as a venue for #Jewish guest speakers— Velma Anne Ruth, M.Ed. (@VelmaAnneDC) July 6, 2019
It happened, that’s a fact. Deal with it. Those that refuse to teach or learn from history are doomed to repeat it. As someone who’s family suffered through it I’m appalled. I wonder what would the response be if someone said “I don’t believe there was slavery” just as dumb!

Those who deny fact are beyond stupid. They are dangerous, especially those who have influence over our youth.

Now imagine telling him “not everyone believes slavery happened” …. how fast would you be fired?

These are the morons responsible for teaching our kids.

Holocaust deniers are now in positions of authority in America’s schools

Latson was not disciplined for his comments, which Deputy Schools Superintendent Keith Oswald excused as “a hastily, poorly written email that he apologized for.”
Serious question: Just how “hastily” was this email composed that it was so “poorly written”? And why did he blame his inability to acknowledge the Holocaust on his being a district employee?
I am sure he will lash out at anyone who suggests there are only 2 genders
