Progressives call themselves that because they believe they’re continually moving the culture forward, and here are a couple of progressive rules posted recently that might just push you over the edge.
First up is the Equality Institute, which says in its bio it exists to produce “creative projects to prevent violence against women.” And they’re certainly being creative.
People of all genders can fall pregnant, because people of all genders can have the reproductive organs to do so. Consider all people – including trans & non-binary folk – & ensure that your language is inclusive of everyone. #languagematters #WordsMatter pic.twitter.com/S5HGpFCt0b

We’re not going to say anything because that would make us transphobic, but y’all have at it:

Wrong. Only women, one of only two genders, can become pregnant. My reference is science. Science doesn’t care about your feelings.

After being a labor and delivery nurse for 25 years…..I’m pretty sure my wife would disagree with your opinion……pretty sure she’s never had anyone but a woman have a baby in the hospitals she’s worked…..just sayin 🤷🏼♂️

This is the most backward and uncivilised way of thinking. “All” genders? There are only two and there always will be two. This is not a whatever-phobic idea. It’s just a fact of life. Equality doesn’t mean ignoring and denying facts of life

That's not how it works. It sounds like it may be time your mom & dad had the "Talk" with you.

People of all genders, sure, but "women" in this context refers to people of the female *sex*, and only people of the female sex can become pregnant. Context matters.

I know PREGNANT WOMEN!
— AmeriKa1St (@ka1_st) October 10, 2018
OK, if you’re going to insist on saying pregnant women, at least spell womxn correctly:
Should women be spelt womxn? https://t.co/XqcRkfNAq2
— BBC News (UK) (@BBCNews) October 10, 2018
Why would it be spelled womxn? We’re old enough to remember feminists calling themselves womyn, but this is a new one.
Like women, womxn refers to females, but it is an attempt to get away from patriarchal language.
Dr Clara Bradbury-Rance, fellow at King’s College London, said the spelling “stems from a longstanding objection to the word woman as it comes from man, and the linguistic roots of the word mean that it really does come from the word man”.
The word is also supposed to be inclusive of trans women, and some non-binary people.
But how is it pronounced? “I’ve heard womxn pronounced in lots of different ways. I’ve heard some pronounce it ‘wo-minx’,” Dr Bradbury-Rance says.

No. Could you stop trying to wipe us from history in an attempt to replace us with men who just want what we've worked bloody hard for. This is more misogynistic sexism under the guise of identity politics & diversity. We are WOMEN. We have two X chromosomes. We aren't FAKE!

If that’s actually a problem to someone I’d definitely swap lives with them.
