Ever since her primary victory, we’ve run posts on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reporting that conservatives are scared of her and Republicans are terrified by her. It seems terror is the cornerstone of her campaign, because now she’s predicting just how much more terrified the GOP is going to be after they untangle this non-sequitur:
If you think the GOP is terrified of my politics now, just wait until they find out about public libraries.
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 5, 2018
That sent chills up our spines for sure.
You mean the same libraries bursting at the seems with HISTORY books about failed socialism and the bodies it leaves behind? Those libraries? https://t.co/X9vk6FaA1R

We aren't terrified of your politics, we just know what happens when they are implemented. We know the dangers of socialism because we read history books. https://t.co/0ACpo2hOCJ

Maybe if you'd spent more time in those places growing up, you'd know more about the consequences of socialism. https://t.co/ms3gVvj8Rh

Eh. Everyone knows libraries are important. They have books about how socialist & communist countries killed 100s of millions of people and how capitalist countries invented the Internet and put people on the moon. https://t.co/qNIF3YFGsh

I found out in my local library that your politics killed over 100 million people last century https://t.co/mZ88ypnddG

The GOP is waiting for you to read a book about Venezuela and Cuba https://t.co/mj9stUJwK5

My local branch has a copy of the Black Book of Communism. It's available on inter-library loan, you really should check it out https://t.co/ZgioyY4lh5

And yet, the one thing she cites as justified government spending has been obsolete since the invention/launch of Wikipedia in 2001 and the internet generally.
But being ONLY 17 years behind the times is actually pretty good for a socialist… https://t.co/MYGsPa1cea

If all you're about is public roads and libraries, hey, we've got those. Why do we need you? https://t.co/bnTSmHTpDz
