Flashback: Sen. John McCain 'won't stop fighting' to replace collapsing Obamacare, you guys

Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins might have set up the target, but it was Sen. John McCain who killed off the so-called “skinny repeal” of Obamacare back in July, claiming that the effort “fell short” of providing meaningful reform.

And, of course, it was McCain who on Friday announced that he could not in conscience vote for Graham-Cassidy, clearing the way for Collins on Monday to announced she too was a “no” on the legislation.

Fear not, though: the maverick senator pledged one year ago last week to keep fighting until Congress finds a replacement for Obamacare that works, and his tweet from 2016 began making the rounds again this weekend … so just remember, he’s not done fighting (Republicans) yet.
