Rep. Cedric Richmond's sexist couch gag about Kellyanne Conway isn't going down smoothly

Sen. Tim Scott was a hit at the Washington Press Club Foundation dinner Wednesday night, particularly with his comic take on Kellyanne Conway’s “shoes on the couch” scandal that gripped the nation for a few minutes this week.

Comedy’s tougher than it looks, though, and Benny Johnson reports that Rep. Cedric Richmond’s own shot at sofa humor didn’t go over quite as well.

Wow, that’s … not cool.

It doesn’t look as though either version struck the public’s funny bone.
