We are certainly living in bizarre times when Republican front-runner Donald Trump argues from the podium that Planned Parenthood has done a lot of good for women, while Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards tweets a reminder that Thursday is the National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers. (We don’t think it’s an official federal holiday … yet.)
Richards’ tweet seems to suggest a simple “thank you” is more than enough, but if she’d reminded us earlier, we could have compiled a list of tasteful, engraved gifts that would really add that special touch to crushing that fetus above and below its more desired organs. The organization might have to settle for a half-billion in taxpayer funding as a thank you gift instead.
In any case, do something to send America’s abortion providers your love. And not just love, but provider love. And as always, spread love, not hate.

After participating in seven Democratic debates, both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders were finally asked about abortion during a recent town hall hosted by Bret Baier on Fox News. Both reiterated their strong conviction that abortion is a woman’s choice, with Clinton asking what sort of Constitutional right abortion is if there are any restrictions placed on the procedure.

So, under these hostile conditions, don’t forget to say thanks to all of the nation’s abortion providers tomorrow, and maybe even send a card. Word is Kermit Gosnell, whose Philadelphia abortion clinic was barely limited or constrained at all in its provision of women’s health services would be thankful for a cake with a file in it.
