Not even Donald Trump seems to be certain if he’ll show at tomorrow night’s presidential debate presented by Fox News and Google. Ted Cruz, closely trailing the GOP front-runner in some polls, will be at the debate, and he’s also invited Trump to an unsanctioned, one-on-one town hall if he’d prefer that format.

To prove he’s serious, Cruz says he’s secured a venue, a date, and a time.

One thing we don’t know yet is who would moderate.

Hannity says he’s on board.

It will grow out. Easier than shaving it every day and better than a creative comb over of eyebrows and ear hairs.

Legality is a pretty high standard, Red. As one president once maintained, “The people need to know their president is not a crook.” He may be shady, immoral, egotistical, uninformed, inclined to cheat, to overstate his successes, to take from his nephews money that probably be theirs, but he was perfectly within his legal rights when he colluded with city officials to take a widow’s boarding house from her so the limo drivers would have more convenient parking.

  • Red Fred

Maybe you should run for office. Trump isn’t afraid, he just demonstrated the art of the deal. When there is no compromise, you gain nothing, and you’re there for viewer ratings and to supply your opponents a punching bag, why bother? After 6 debates we know where the candidates stand.

Donald Trump is a Leftist Democrat. Donald Trump is a Leftist Democrat. Understand that.

    • Orpheus75

I for one, am hoping his momentum flames out and dies.

  • thebigguy128

If Trump gets the nomination, then, yes, we ARE garuanteed of another Socialist Democrat.

As for me, I’ll be voting Libertarian.

  • Perso Nasplit

There are no words that adequately describe how much I would want that.

  • Peggy Bundy

Not really Ted that has reserved the time and place though is it? it’s the super pacs that OWN him that have reserved the time and place.

  • interestedobserver2

Actually, this is pretty brilliant. He knows perfectly well that Trump won’t show, so he’s putting the hammer on him by offering 1.5 Million to back the charity that Trump supposedly feels so strongly about (but didn’t, even three years ago). It’ll be interesting to see how Trump tries to roll him back.

These two are both superb at trolling each other.

  • Walter Nash

    Cruz is 0-6 on debates. 7th time’s a charm?

  • Zach Brewer

And then go bankrupt 4 or 5 times?

    • Red Fred

Let’s see if any of the college to politics boys can do anything but talk.

  • biancaneve

What does Rupert Murdoch’s open borders advocacy group have to do with Trump being too afraid to debate Cruz?

It’s possible to distrust Murdoch AND Trump, for different reasons.

    • Revanche

Sigh.. Are you saying that Fox is a proxy for Ted Cruz?
You see, I can create straw man arguments too.

      • biancaneve

We’re all well aware you can create straw man arguments.

  • biancaneve

I’m with you. I’ve never been on the Trump bandwagon, but there were times when I thought I could be okay with him if he became the GOP nominee. And then he would do/say something crazy/stupid and I’d be suspicious of him all over again. But the last week or so have been too much for me. I absolutely will not vote for him – not in the primary and not in the general. (Of course, I have the luxury of living in a solidly-blue state, so my vote in the general election will be irrelevant.)

  • Revanche

“outspoken nature of said supporters” ?
And Ted Cruz supporters aren’t outspoken? Oh please! What do
you think comprises the majority of this thread. Go to The Right
Scoop and try to ‘post’ anything that isn’t 100% worship of Ted Cruz
and you’ll find your comment deleted.
The rest of your ‘delusions’ are so ridiculous, that I wont’ even bother to respond to them.

    • fragglerock61

Nothing wrong with being outspoken. But while I have met real people who readily acknowledge supporting Cruz, I have yet to meet one who admits to supporting Trump.

      • Revanche

Try leaving your room once in a while.

        • fragglerock61

Wow. Your mind boggling rhetoric has shut down any and all arguments I might ever have conceivably though to make. Please, O wise one, tell me your secrets!

          • Revanche

I have a brain, and I use it.

          • fragglerock61

Ah yes. And as I don’t agree with your opinions I am obviously a simpleton who cannot think for himself and simply follows the ebb and flow of the crowd however it goes.

But then, if that were true, I would undoubtedly be a Trump supporter.

          • Revanche

So you’re putting words in my mouth? You just created an argument against yourself that I didn’t make.
            HAHAHAHA….
You asked a question. I answered it. It’s as simple as that.

          • fragglerock61

Enlighten me then as to the precise point of your statement. If not to imply that I do not have/use a brain what was your intention?

          • Revanche

Enlighten yourself. Go back and read your comment. I was answering your question.

By the way, with this demand, you’ve fully proven at least a portion of the words, you put in my mouth, to be correct.

  • Revanche

Trump has debated Cruz six times, and according to polls, won every one of them. (Though in my personal opinion, I think that Cruz and, possibly Rubio, made a better showing in debate #3, and possibly #5.)
The old fashioned way is to ‘energize’ your listeners at rallies, to make
a personal connection with people. After all, it is ‘people’ who vote.
It is the time honored political activity called stumping.

  • Revanche

I’m aware that Cruz supporters make that claim without a thing to back it up other than their snit over Cruz being in second place.
Your prediction seems to have failed for the last 6 debates.

    • http://truthbeforedishonor.wordpress.com John Hitchcock

He stated Democrat policy is best for economics.
He stated that we need tax increases.
He stated that he is for single-payer.
He stated that he is for funding Planned Parenthood.
He stated that he is for Eminent Domain.
He stated that he is for Gun Control.
He stated that a Republican’s plan to cause illegal aliens to self-deport was hateful and mean-spirited.

That is not “without a thing to back it up”. That is a list of facts.

  • Revanche

If it comes to that I will.

  • Revanche

    Thanks for proving my point.

  • Revanche

No. I leave that to you.

  • Revanche

    Time will tell.

  • Revanche

    No. It’s not.

  • Revanche

Then why is he calling for a separate debate? He’s going to
be a the main event. What does he care whether Trump is there
    or not?
Ahh… and the answer becomes obvious.

  • Revanche

    That’s your choice.
