As Twitchy reported yesterday, authorities were originally on the lookout for two white men in a red or maroon pickup truck who allegedly fired at soldiers from the road as they drove past the Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center in Mississippi. Law enforcement officers announced that they had found the vehicle but later admitted it was not the truck in question. Two men were taken into custody for questioning and released.
This morning brought a very similar shooting at Camp Shelby. Once again, Ryan Moore of WDAM was on the case and got more news than he bargained for.
While authorities were investigating the scene, looking for clues such as shell casings, they stopped a driver and took him into custody.
A press conference scheduled for 1:15 p.m. local time was passed on to the MBI.
That conference was scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. local time but as yet hasn’t begun.
Twitchy will update this post with any relevant updates.
