As if it weren’t enough to read Thomas Friedman’s lengthy interview with President Obama in the New York Times this weekend, Friedman appeared on CNN’s “Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer Monday to continue his analysis of the president’s foreign policy (or lack thereof).
Daniel W. Drezner, professor of international politics at Tufts University’s Fletcher School and a contributing editor to Foreign Policy, stood witness to the spectacle.
The only way I'm gonna survive Blitzer interviewing Friedman is to live-tweet it. I forgive all of you who decide to unfollow me right now.

No, stick around.
So Blitzer starts by asking Friedman if he can get into Obama's head through Friedman. Already I want to gnaw my arm off.

Friedman describes Kurdistan as one of the "few good things" to come out of the Iraq War. But a lot of Kurdistan was autonomous pre-2003.

Wolf Blitzer just asked Tom Friedman if there is an Obama doctrine. #thehorrorthehorror

And Wolf Blitzer asks Friedman AGAIN is there is an "Obama Doctrine with "so many places on earth right now on fire." #killmenow

Friedman tells Blitzer he "wouldn't begin to presume to declare" what Obama's doctrine is. Friedman has clearly never read his own column.

OK guys, the Blitzer/Friedman interview is over, and I can now keep down solid food again. Reset pundit threat condition back to DefCon 5.

This’ll make it better.
The best antidote for too much Obama doctrine punditry is a warm puppy: pic.twitter.com/KGAunt7vvn

And a visual aid for those who missed the interview will make everything clear.
