Her comments to Harper’s Bazaar UK inspired such headlines as Jezebel.com’s “Kirsten Dunst Thinks Ladies In Relationships Should Wife the Fuck Out.” What inspired that, exactly?
It was apparently this quote from an interview. “I feel like the feminine has been a little undervalued,” Dunst said. “We all have to get our own jobs and make our own money, but staying at home, nurturing, being the mother, cooking – it’s a valuable thing my mum created. And sometimes, you need your knight in shining armour. I’m sorry. You need a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman. That’s why relationships work …”
“Kirsten Dunst is not paid to write gender theory so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that she’s kind of dumb about it,” wrote Jezebel’s Erin Gloria Ryan. Not everyone quite agreed with that characterization, though.
Oh lay off @kirstendunst you angry shrieking feminist harpies.

@DLoesch @kirstendunst Isn't it touching that having an opinion and choosing to live your own life a certain way draws outrage?

Hey @kirstendunst sorry that feminists are mad that you like being a woman & like your man to be manly. Doesn't seem odd to me.
