The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting today that the family of alleged Washington Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis issued a statement apologizing for the “inconvenience” of losing a loved one to a mass murderer.
Inconvenience? MT @shimon4ny Family of gunman: "We apologize for the inconvenience of losing a loved one, we also lost a loved one."

@shimon4ny @scottwholley Pease don't tell me they actually used the word, "inconvenience?"

@PatrickMBoston @shimon4ny that's the quote I'm seeing. It's very strange, maybe they were too overwhelmed to use the best words?

To be fair, we doubt the family was expecting to be making any sort of statement today; for now, though, it’s a little difficult to work up tears over the loss of Alexis while 12 of his victims lie dead.
