Rumors that someone had the locks changed on San Diego Mayor Bob Filner’s office while the mayor stepped out for a two-week course of intensive therapy to deal with his “hugging” problem turned out to be true, with several news outlets confirming the story Friday afternoon.
Changing the locks to keep Filner out? I wonder if they're going to leave his stuff in trash bags on the lawn, too.

Report via @10News sources that've been on top of Filner story. If true, wow. Wow. RT @SDNewsBoy: Locks being changed to keep the Mayor OUT.
— Jake Sticka (@Sticka) August 9, 2013
@SDNewsBoy I'd think changing mayor's office locks to keep Bob Filner out is illegal . . . unless he ain't still the mayor.

Ch 10 staffer says they have info locks are being changed at #Filner's office, to keep him OUT. Way to function, city!
— Stephanie Thompson (@Stefaniya) August 9, 2013
Wait…I thought the whole "changing the locks" thing was just a saying that never actually happened!? #Filner
— Dave Ebner (@1ManRevolution) August 9, 2013
@voiceofsandiego @sduncovered whose decision was it to change those locks? And why? #filner
— dayelin roman (@dayelinR) August 10, 2013
So, is the locks-changing a thing where Filner can't get in and mess with evidence?

That wasn’t the only surprise in the Filner saga today. Sen. Barbara Boxer penned an open letter to “Bob” urging him to step down immediately.

— Sen. Barbara Boxer (@SenatorBoxer) August 9, 2013
Sen Boxer to Filner: Bob, you have already hurt so many people. To avoid hurting your victims.. have, you should step down immediately.

What's the big hurry, Babs? –> Boxer writes Filner, tells him it’s time to go http://t.co/jM2qWkc6PK

Let’s not be hasty now. Why should Filner step down after all, now that he’s been cured?
Cured? San Diego Mayor Bob Filner leaves early from two-week therapy program, for sexual harassment. Aides say he started early.
— Jim Rainey (@RaineyTime) August 10, 2013
Bob Filner only had to do one week of sexual harassment therapy because he had a Groupon
— Everyone's Famous (@AceofSpadesHQ) August 10, 2013
It is a miracle. Filner is cured of being a sex predator after a week of therapy.
— Elaine Nause (@Erunner110) August 10, 2013
apparently Bob Filner was so good at sexual harassment that the professionals had little more to teach him.
— Everyone's Famous (@AceofSpadesHQ) August 9, 2013
Democrats would like for you to believe that two weeks of therapy has cured YEARS of repeated sexual harassment: http://t.co/xmwFUrd3pB
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 10, 2013
So the same Democrats who helped hide Filner's preying upon women now want you to believe he cured himself of The Pervs.
— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 10, 2013
@DLoesch Of course #Filner is cured. He just finished a two week rehab stint at the world renowned "Kennedy/Dodd Wandering Hands Center"
— Charlie Koznick (@TheKozReport) August 10, 2013
@AceofSpadesHQ Now that filthy #Filner is 'cured' when will he announce his bid to run for CA governor?
— MAST (@PuroPincheLeeds) August 10, 2013
Details about the lock change and the reasons behind it are unclear. Can Filner trade a note from his therapist for a key?
Filner's office lock changed-approved by Jan Goldsmith. Jan won't say why. Filner expected to return Aug 19. Will he get a new key ?
