With next-to-nothing yet confirmed about the explosions in Boston today and only vague reports of a “person in interest” in custody, Current TV’s Cenk Uygur is already engaging in not only speculation, but some really bizarre math as well.
Our reaction as a country to Boston Marathon is going to be completely different if it's a Muslim w/ a bomb or a white shooter w/ a gun.
— Cenk Uygur (@cenkuygur) April 15, 2013
If shooter killed 17 people in Boston Marathon w/ assault rifle it wouldn't get near the reaction it would if a terrorist kills 3 w/ a bomb.
— Cenk Uygur (@cenkuygur) April 15, 2013
What? While sensible people are holding off on finger-pointing with so little yet known, Uygur is not only speculating that a Muslim bomber might have been behind the explosions — he’s prejudging America’s proportionate outrage if that turns out to be the case. Aren’t you ashamed for thinking what Uygur knew you were going to think?
really Cenk? #respect pls! push yr political agenda tomorrow… it's not going anywhere. Not a matter of whether ur right… @cenkuygur

Remember this asshole from Current TV "shares a common value" with Al Gore –> https://t.co/fwIW77rEhx
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) April 15, 2013
@cenkuygur Why are we speculating the ethnicity of the bomber? White or Muslim, this is still a plot organized to kill- It's equally wrong.

@cenkuygur Across the street from your studio with @tonykatz & @KurtSchlichter…bring us in to talk about your stupidity!
— SFK (@stephenkruiser) April 15, 2013
@cenkuygur nonsense. I’m with @stephenkruiser and @KurtSchlichter …have us on to refute your shameful tweet. Lets talk about it!
— Tony Katz (@tonykatz) April 15, 2013
@cenkuygur Back up this nonsense. Show supporting evidence. Better yet, give an example of such in the past. You'll become a laughingstock.
— ryuge (@0ryuge) April 15, 2013
.@cenkuygur Seriously? Bodies aren't even cold, and you're politicizing this?
— Lorraine Yuriar (@thekytikat) April 15, 2013
Our reaction as a country? For most of us, it’s horror, followed by calls to #PrayForBoston and a rush of people asking what they can do to help.
