Several local television stations in Las Vegas are reporting that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was admitted to the hospital today following an accident involving his motorcade.

The New York Observer notes that one of Reid’s hometown newspapers, the Las Vegas Review Journal, misidentified Reid as a Republican in its initial report. Was the newspaper expecting a scandal to erupt?
