With the noted exception of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, America’s leaders continue to disappoint CNN’s Piers Morgan, whose week-long crusade for something to be done about guns in America led to a dead end in today’s interview with Mitt Romney.
"Somehow thinking that laws against the instruments of violence will make violence go away…is misguided" @MittRomney http://t.co/uf48a6Ne
— Piers Morgan Live (@PiersMorganLive) July 27, 2012
"…trying to collect 300M guns would be lunacy…that's not going to happen in this country. We have a right to bear arms." @MittRomney

Shorter Piers: what gun measures does it take, Mr Romney, to make your country as disarmed and impotent against crime as we are in the UK?
— Razor (@hale_razor) July 27, 2012
.@PiersMorgan your country literally tried disarming America so they could oppress our God-given rights. Why would we disarm?

Piers Morgan just doesn't get it. Lunatics/evil people don't obey laws. Why is that hard to comprehend? http://t.co/CTZjpCGh

Those hoping Morgan would lay into Romney as he did “More Guns, Less Crime” author John Lott earlier in the week were sorely disappointed.
Since "Piers" isn't challenging a damn thing, the "interview" is basically an hour-long Romney commercial. How generous of you, CNN.

Talk about a soft, no pushback or hard question interview- that Mitt Interview SUCKED. Shame on you Piers Morgan! You were like a fluffer!

Watching Piers Morgan interview with Mitt Romney. We learned nothing. Piers missed a lot of opportunities & no specifics.

@PiersTonight @mittromney Boy, what happened to your passion Piers. You sound like a different person. Caving in. R U flip flopping?
— CeletaQ (@CeletaQ) July 27, 2012
@pierstonight @mittromney Why were you so soft on Romney? I thought I was watching Opra not Piers Morgan. intimidated? Disappointing …

Romney proudly defended his time at Bain Capital.
"I'm proud of the fact that we were able to strengthen enterprises that now employ a lot of people" @MittRomney on accomplishments at #Bain
— Piers Morgan Live (@PiersMorganLive) July 27, 2012
Piers couldn't get a glove on him on Bain or guns. He's nailing this interview. He's a workaholic prodigy, unlike our President.

Romney supporters are glad they tuned in to “Piers Morgan Tonight,” at least this one time.

Team Obama is worried tonight after this Piers Morgan interview. Romney oozed confidence and competence and Ann Romney is amazing.
