Chris Christie has decided to get his toes wet in the ‘pile on DeSantis’ game and it is a lame attempt, but what else do we expect from Christie? Christie basically tried to say DeSantis used the power of the government to ‘punish’ Disney.
We should probably give a short background on the Disney / DeSantis issue.
Disney started the fight with vocal opposition to a Florida bill that kept gender identity from being taught to kindergarteners. That bill did become law and DeSantis decided if they are going to try and use their power in the state to influence laws then they should not get special privileges from Florida and should be treated the same as Universal Studios or Sea World, or any other theme park in the state.
That is a very simple explanation but it gets the main idea across. Of course, anyone who is not a DeSantis fan will look at the situation and frame it differently so that leads us to Chris Christie!

Full disclosure: this editor has NEVER liked Chris Christie, so while we may be biased, his words speak very clearly and we would try to give a good spin on this but there is really no good spin to be had. What does he gain from this? Is he running to be President again? He is not registered as running and as a matter of fact, neither is Ron DeSantis. So right now this is just a hit on a sitting governor.
Why do we care what Chris Christie says, who has shown his political opinions to be as inconstant as the weather post climate change?

Perfection. Christie obviously holds a different view of conservatism than most people who identify as conservative.
We do not care if Christie has some issues with DeSantis, We do not care if Chrisite has issues with any Republican.
We have issues with the fact Christie thinks he has any idea about conservatism.
Stick to your own beaches Chris Christie, we are not taking cues from you about conservatism.
