Award for Hypocrite of the Year goes to…Matt Damon! While the actor was promoting his latest Jason Bourne movie in Australia, he called for the confiscation of all guns in the United States.
(As if taking away law-abiding Americans’ rights would help anything at all.)
Watch Damon pretend to speak intelligently about U.S. politics with a Sydney Morning Herald reporter:
“You guys did it here in one fell swoop, and I wish that could happen in my country, but it’s such a personal issue for people that we cannot talk about it sensibly,” Damon said.
That’s right… the action movie star who makes millions of dollars off of shooting guns thinks that the government should take away all guns.
Trained to be the perfect weapon. On July 29, Matt Damon returns as #JasonBourne.https://t.co/u4D2KUXG2g

There is even a list of all the people Damon’s Bourne character has shot…and the weapons he used! Maybe Damon should watch his own movies again to be reminded that his income is dependent on the very thing he wants to ban.
Jason Bourne, I mean Matt Damon, wants guns in America confiscated. I guess ol' Good Will Hunting isn't familiar with the Second Amendment.

Hey Matt Damon, I'll give you my guns if you give me ALL THE MONEY you made from Jason Bourne gun-glorifying movies. https://t.co/2TafESHvnV

Bearing Arms reported that the Australian gun ban has been a massive failure, with firearm-related crimes actually increasing drastically. A report shows:
“The number of pistol-related offences doubled in Victoria and rose by 300 per cent in New South Wales. At least two other states also saw a massive jump in firearms-related offences during the same period.
Taken together, the data suggests that despite our tough anti-gun laws, thousands of weapons are either being stolen or entering the country illegally.”
Huh, that’s interesting. You mean criminals don’t pay attention to laws? Remarkable.
