Walmart Employees Refuse To Make A Cop's Retirement Cake Because Racism, Then It Gets Worse

Refusing to make a cake for a same-sex marriage is unconstitutional. But when it comes to police officer’s retiring, anything is fair game.

A police officer’s daughter who wished to remain anonymous told Fox News that three Walmart employees refused to make her father’s retirement cake because it was racist.

“I was so shocked. “I didn’t know what to do or say or anything. I was trying not to lose my temper or make a scene.”

The cake’s design involved the American flag in black and white with a thin blue line through the middle, a common symbol of support for the police community.

When she requested the design, the Walmart employees in McDonough, Georgia told her that the design could be perceived as racist and that nobody felt comfortable decorating the cake. The daughter posed an alternative design with just a blue line, which was also rejected for making the employees feel uncomfortable.

She politely asked if there was something wrong with cops and told them they’d find another bakery.

A family friend later posted about the incident on Facebook and soon the Walmart store manager was contacting them to apologize for the incident.

But it didn’t end there.

The manager offered a $50 gift card and to decorate the cake for free – but the cake decorators still refused to comply. When the daughter received the cake, it looked unprofessional and unacceptable. Unfortunately, her father’s retirement party was on the same day and left her without time to find an alternative.

Her story has since gone viral, angering the pro-police community for Walmart’s harsh treatment:
