Just a 'minor sin of omission'? Why did NYT leave this out of op-ed writer's bio?

In case you missed it, yesterday, the New York Times graciously gave op-ed space to Marwan Barghouti so he could highlight the Palestinian prisoners going on a hunger strike to “[expose] Israel’s moral and political failure.”

Isn’t that special? Too bad the NYT got lazy when it came to Barghouti’s bio:

What? Did the New York Times not think that was worth mentioning?

That would certainly fit with the standards the Times editorial team seem to operate under.
