President Obama isn’t going to take any more of this terrorism lying down. He’s putting up his dukes and taking on the scourge of … Donald Trump.
In a speech this afternoon, Obama blasted Trump’s rhetoric in the wake of the deadly Orlando attacks:
President Barack Obama ripped into Donald Trump on Tuesday for criticizing him for not using the phrase “radical Islam” and for renewing his proposed Muslim ban, warning about the danger that the presumptive Republican nominee would pose as president.
…
People who have been working on fighting terrorist groups in the U.S. “know full well who the enemy is,” Obama said.
“So did the intelligence and law enforcement officers spend count less hours disrupting plots and protecting all Americans. Including politicians who tweet and appear on cable news shows,” Obama said, in a not-so-veiled reference at Trump. “They knew who the nature of the enemy is. So there is no magic to the phrase of ‘radical Islam.’ It is a political talking point. It is not a strategy. And the reason I am careful about how I describe this threat has nothing to do with political correctness and everything to do with actually defeating extremism.”
President Obama also took a swipe at “politicians who tweet and appear on cable news shows” who think he’s not doing enough to combat terrorism:
taking direct aim at Trump – and hasn't named him once. Deconstructing his policy ideas. "Yapping hasn't prevented" terrorism.

"Yapping hasn't prevented" terrorism: President Obama taking on tweeting yapper politician Donald Trump without naming him.

Obama calling out a “yapping” politician is one thing. But seeing his condemnation in big, bold letters across the TV screen?
Well, it’s quite something:

Indeed. President Obama is frequently short on self-awareness, but this is on a whole other level.
"Yapping hasn't prevented terrorism," muses the Yapper-in-Chief.

For a guy who spends so much time looking in a mirror, Obama really doesn’t see himself very clearly at all.
Obama says "yapping hasn't prevented terrorism" Well, neither has anything Obama did. Wasn't he supposed to usher in peace and love?

It really is perfect.
Must have been a difficult admission for him. https://t.co/0Kb6L8PiqH
