In case you missed the news, this afternoon, U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced that the DOJ is suing North Carolina over the controversial HB2 law, also known as the “bathroom law”:

More from the Washington Examiner:
The Department of Justice announced a civil rights lawsuit against the state of North Carolina on Monday for the state’s refusal to rescind House Bill 2, which prohibits transgender people from using the bathroom of their choice.
“This action is about a great deal more than bathrooms,” Attorney General Loretta Lynch said Monday afternoon at a press conference.
Yeah. It’s also about Jim Crow-like discrimination. Or something:

Sally Kohn, for one, is thrilled that the DOJ is dedicating its resources to sticking it to North Carolina:

#LorettaLynch is right! Anti-trans laws like NC's have nothing to do w safety, but everything to do w discrimination https://t.co/qEzRWHUJDU

And for anyone questioning the DOJ’s priorities here, Sally’s got something to say to you:
To those freaking out that DOJ should focus on terrorism, etc, CALM THE F DOWN. #LorettaLynch can multi-task. https://t.co/oWICREiHU8
