Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal’s about-face on Common Core appears to be complete:

So, is this his final decision?

Common Core supporters and Jindal opponents are pretty pissed:

But others see this as a step in the right direction.

Stupid libs: “If you don’t support the ‘Affordable Care Act’ you must not want affordable care”

“If you don’t support common core, you don’t support standards.”

In obviously malicious and bigoted news, Common Core standards are actually lower than the standards we used to have in Louisiana: subject by subject, grade by grade.

    • mrspinky85

Well, I guess they don’t support abortion if they don’t support abortion clinics having same hospital standards…wait what?

      • H50 ✓RAT

I see what you did there Ms.P. 😉

        • mrspinky85

The left makes it so easy.

          • H50 ✓RAT

            They sure do!

    • Shane Dale

Don’t clog the issue w/facts. Libs find it off-putting.

  • http://www.algoreisabidfatidiot.com/ “Rev Jim Jones”

Nice move Gov, but we beat you to it.

  • DG

We Hoosiers already overturned Common Core. Hope to continue seeing more states follow suit. Good on ya, Bobby!

    • Tom Winegar

My state, Kansas, should be rid of it before long.

      • DG

        Keep up the pressure.

    • Ruth

      Same here in Oklahoma

  • Ghee!

That MsJennyBee is one classy dame. And she’s a teacher to boot. Congrats Louisiana on having Chicago quality teachers on hand for your kids.

    • H50 ✓RAT

      Does she teach in Louisiana?

      • Ghee!

        yes, according to her timeline.

        • H50 ✓RAT

Looks like after Jindal gets the CC mess straightened out, he should start working on the teachers union and get little Ms Fark and her ilk canned too.

    • carmenta

      ain’t she a peach?
Such a paragon of values and morals

    • Informed&Concerned

That is no doubt, common core language by Ms Jenny Bee. Chicago quality. I like it, GML. I like it a lot!

    • H50 ✓RAT

“F*ck the teachers and them needing to know and feel confident about what they’re gonna teach.”

Isnt she precious? Obviously an English major too. The only things in her timeline that didnt include fark were links to rag stories. I know this will shock no one, but judging from some of her tweets shes a racist too.

    • NavVette

Probably teaches English. No wonder she wants to implement Common Core.

  • Ghee!

Our Tennessee senate is sitting on its hands right now. The house has passed the bill to remove CC, but Senate hasn’t acted yet.

    • Tom Winegar

Urge everyone you know to raise Hell with the state senator’s.

    • Maryland_Malcontent

I only wish that my blue state’s legislature could be as obstructive regarding liberal bills as red state legislatures too often are re: conservative bills.

Keep this up TN and Beretta will have to move yet again…

    • journogal

I am not sure what direction Georgia will go in, especially since it is a election year and the governor’s seat is up for grabs. I believe they are trying to water it down, instead of fully getting rid of it for now.

      • StateofFranklin

Well, I left Oklahoma for Georgia about a year ago and while I’m happy OK dropped it, I’m hoping GA does too. We homeschool anyway, so we teach around it. Either way, I’d really like to see the Red’s gubernatorial candidate denounce it and use it on his platform for reelection. I don’t think the Blue side has much of a chance of getting in the mansion anyway. People here seem to be fairly in tune with what goes on in their state as they lean red.

  • Sean Connolly

Check out that psycho @MsJennyBee ‘s feed. According to her twitter feed she’s a teacher. I sure wouldn’t want that nutjob teaching my kids…

    • Ghee!

yup, see my comment as well. She’s a prog loon.

      • H50 ✓RAT

A really big foul mouthed racist prog loon! Hope the parents of her students are reading her TL.

    • H50 ✓RAT

      A teacher?????? Holy cow.
Bet all her students know how to inject the word fark into every sentence.

    • Stephen L. Hall #NonquamTrump

Remember when teachers were expected to have good manners and good morals, or else they would be dismissed. Ah, the 1800s were a lovely time.

    • Informed&Concerned

Wow — any teacher at my son’s parochial school would not even been given a warning.

  • H50 ✓RAT

Im guessing the only one of the detractors for dropping common core standards is the young ‘lady who’ uses fark for a noun, verb and period and had no clue when his term expires. The product of CC education perhaps?

Golf clap for Jindal, hes listening to the parents, sticking to his own States law and not making excuses. He made a mistake, hes owning it and most important, hes fixing it. Nicely done.

    • JD Son

They do have a book out on the market called “101 uses of the word F*ck.” Maybe she has a copy?

  • Roy

@MsJennyBee is a teacher in Louisiana, God help us if she is……..

Libs: ” But who will indoctrinated errrr I mean educated our children now ?”

  • Squirrel!

@MsJennyBee has a filthy mouth. She must not have a very big vocabulary. Poor dear.

Props to Jindal for this decision!! I have friends and family who are very happy with it.

    • Name

      recipient of common core education?

  • http://youhavetobethistalltogoonthisride.blogspot.com/ keyboard jockey

More good news let’s hope the opt out from Common Dread, spreads from shore to shore.

  • Tom Winegar

Too bad teachers aren’t all over 40 like when I went, a little life learned wisdom goes a long way. Of course that was before leftists college professors, the union and it’s sociopathic America-hating agenda.

  • Sean Barrentine

I have a couple of friends that are teachers. Ain’t heard any good of Common Core from either of them.

  • NRPax

Socialism, like the old policy from which it emanates, confounds Government and society. And so, every time we object to a thing being done by Government, it concludes that we object to its being done at all. We disapprove of education by the State—then we are against education altogether. We object to a State religion—then we would have no religion at all. We object to an equality which is brought about by the State then we are against equality, etc., etc. They might as well accuse us of wishing men not to eat, because we object to the cultivation of corn by the State.

Frederic Bastiat, The Law. Written in 1850 yet it still applies today.

  • Right Wired ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

I love it ween the stripper with the IQ of 78 and the back tat that says “INSERT DOLLAR” lectures us on education of our children.

    • Maryland_Malcontent

      I must have missed something…

  • Maryland_Malcontent

Nice King of the Hill reference in the title of this post.

  • ceemack

I’ve never taught K-12, but if I did, I’d sure hate using what I’ve seen of Common Core lessons.

I still can’t figure out what the hell a “number story” is.

  • Ms. Abigail van Beagle

So I take it that the chick @MsJennyBee that can’t express half a thought without dropping a series of F-bombs is a product of common core education?

  • JD Son

F*cking politics makes me sick. Jindal pulls us out of common core? Mainly because Obama supports it. I know it.
    F*ck you, @BobbyJindal.
When the f*ck is your term up, @BobbyJindal? It’s time for you to get the f*ck.

Man such eloquence in the twitter feed by this woman. Shows lots of educational depth. But hey, in all seriousness, if Obama can evolve on issues, why can’t Jindal?

  • Perso Nasplit

the people for common core think that removing a test and federal standards removes education. guess what. We had education LONG before the Dept of Ed and common core.

  • Dean Bruckner

Schools cannot make up what broken homes lack. No amount of money, curriculum, testing, bureaucrats or politically donating education companies can fix that. Faith and family is the focus we need, and both Washington and Hollywood are part of the problem, not the solution.

Kudos to Gov. Jindal! But stay on guard against a federal takeover attempt of La. education through DOJ or the federal courts .

  • LimpingHenry

Common core standards are just so . . . common. What children need are uncommon standards.

  • Michele Pullara Allen

Once again I’m amazed at the foul language and hate filled rants that libs always use when they don’t get their way……but yet they call conservatives the hateful ones. The “F” word is hateful, vulgar and using it does not show any class at all. We have an English language….use the words to express yourself…flinging around vulgarity does nothing to strengthen your position!!!
