Vail, Colorado, could use your prayers:

Just awful.

Reports indicate that one of the victims has died:

Heartbreaking.

As for the other three:

We hope and pray that everyone is safe and accounted for.

A grim statistic:

Other media outlets are reporting the lone fatality:

May the good Lord intervene, and bring these people to safety and if harmed, may it only be minimal. It is God’s Country!

      “It is God’s Country!”

And He’s welcome to it, and so are you. Me, I’ll stay away from slopes that accumulate a $#!tload of unstable snow. Obviously, condolences to the family of anyone lost in this, and hopes for the rescue and preservation of the lives of the others. I just hope this avalanche wasn’t an intentional one that went sadly wrong, as that would only seem to compound the loss.

It’s safe to say that everywhere is His country, and everywhere has it’s own hazards.

As the Aussie outlaw, Ned Kelly, said on the gallows, “Such is life.”

Not a good week for Vail.

    Prayers for those affected.

Just found this on Fox website:

“VAIL, COLO. – Authorities say the man who was killed in an avalanche near Vail, Colo., was the grandson of the resort town’s founder.

Eagle County Coroner Kara Bettis says 24-year-old Anthony Seibert was killed in Tuesday morning’s slide in the backcountry near Vail.

She says Seibert is the grandson of Peter Seibert. Along with Earl Eaton, he is widely credited with finding the terrain that would later become Vail Mountain.”
