Serious, you guys.

This is where we’re at, at least in Colorado:

When all else fails, aim for the lowest common denominator. It’s the Obama way!

Note to bros:

That’s right. Obamacare depends on young, healthy people to pump in money. Without the bros, O-care doesn’t have a keg to stand on.

Editor’s note: The title originally read “Colorado taps keg stands to sell Obamacare.” It has been corrected to reflect that the “Brosurance” ads are part of an effort by the Thanks Obamacare campaign, which was created by the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative. We apologize for the error.

  • FranklinWasRight

They really thought that that would appeal to young, white single males. Looking at that picture, I shudder for the kind of prejudice my middle class white sons are up against.

    • pinupartist

I know! I have 2 sons & I weep for them being born at this time :(

When the “brosurance” ad blitz fails, think they’ll run porn star ads? NOTHING is beneath this regime, not even the sub-basement…

    • Your favorite Clete

This just has to be satire. No way can this be actual ad material approved by a responsible government office.

      Right? Right?

  • Garrett Gripling

    They need clothing insurance.

Goebbels is celebrating from the grave and patting 0’Communist Scholar Alinski Obama…
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Joseph Goebbels

“Intellectual activity is a danger to the building of character” Joseph Goebbels

“Whoever can conquer the street will one day conquer the state, for every form of power politics and any dictatorship-run state has its roots in the street.” Joseph Goebbels

“Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.” Joseph Goebbels

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly – it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over” Joseph Goebbels

  • 13strigoi

Yeah bros, don’t tap into your beer money tap into my wallet. Ffs.

  • Radical Conservative

    More like this…..

  • RblDiver

They clearly don’t “got” basic education either.

    • Clayton Grant

This might explain it a bit:

  • karmafordems

Told my kids I’d burn in Hell before I cover them on my plan. Told them to get a part time job and pay for it themselves

    • TomJB

How many times have you had to explain that because they *can* remain on your insurance until they are 26, doesn’t mean you *have* to allow them to do so?

      • karmafordems

They respect my decision after proving to them that they get aught for big premium bucks due to high deductible. They’re not joining ACA either. Aught gazinta aught aught times

  • Maxwell

So… the Obama administration approves of partying and acting like an idiot? Shocking?

    • pinupartist

      Coming next: ho-surance

    • Drewdxbarry

      supporters of barry, default behavior.

  • schveiguy

In about 2 hours, that patriotic keg stander is going to wet the American flag.

  • adam

Keg stands…. how they wrote the law to begin with.

  • Karin_A

    Excruciatingly embarrassing.

  • Smart Grunt

As a recovering alcoholic and former drinking champion of my fraternity, I know that 1) they’re doing the keg stand wrong 2) Those cups had never been filled with booze, and those guys are completely sober and douchey 3) Anyone that did even a quarter as much drinking as I did wouldn’t be swayed by those ads. 4) The reason the dude’s girlfriend broke up with him is because she probably realized that he batted for the other team.

    • TomJB

And 100-1 if these guys even went to college, they were never in a fraternity, and were more likely of the group that thinks they are better than everyone else and sneer and snark their way through their undergrad years, especially when dealing with fraternity and sorority members.

In other words, members of a “choom gang” of sorts.

  • sambar2

“Don’t tap into your beer money to cover those medical bills. We got it covered.”

That perfectly sums up the Democratic party.

Don’t take responsibility for your actions, live beyond your means, and we’ll be sure to steal from those are responsible and give their money to you so we can always secure your vote and be in power.

    Disgusting. Evil. Cretins.

  • rssllue

“No, instead tap into your beer money for Hillary’s birthday celebration, dude!”

  • NRPax

Gee…how come the bros aren’t more ethnically diverse? The Democrats’ racism coming out for everyone to see again?

I also noted on the second ad that he had to call him mom to confirm he had insurance. Obviously, he’s never been in the military or in any other position where he had to take care of himself. Not surprising to see; most media likes to portray white males as ignorant slobs.

  • Marcy Cook

The only way they can get the young people to sign up is to get them drunk.

    • NRPax

They should be used to drunken regret by now…

  • Jimni27

Those “college kids” look to be about 40. Not to mention “college kids” are still on mommy and daddy’s insurance.

Having said that, the ad is the perfect poster for all that is Obamacare.

And thus we see the idiot mentality which drives this nation further off a cliff.

  • Jack Deth

  • QueenB ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

So, wait. These are real ads? “Don’t tap into your beer money for healthcare”? Seriously? Good Lord.

  • RumDoooogie

im in that age group and don’t know anyone that talks like that…at all..this is how out of touch they really are thinking people still talk like that

  • Drewdxbarry

They are in big trouble if they are losing these folks.

  • sailwind

The one ‘bro’ is wearing an American Flag as his shorts and I think I’m going to puke.

  • Section 9

God, these beg for a Memecast. Just beg for them.
“Brosurance?” Did all the f**ked up OFA guys who came over from the campaign drink the same bong water when they came up with this sh*t?

  • wildwood15

But where did the original money come from? The heavens?
