And our appetites remain lost.
It looks like Politico has finally given up on maintaining any semblance of objectivity. This morning, writers Todd Purdum and John Harris pooled their powers of swoonage to celebrate “what’s right with President Obama”:
Holy Crap @Politico really is just an #Obama news Outlet MT #Obama we really really LOVE you – Politico – http://t.co/lz0cC28m9G @POLITICO

Here’s a choice excerpt:
No one will ever mistake Obama for warm and fuzzy. But when he tries even a bit, he can’t help being winning. His smile remains dazzling, even if he flashes it less often.
Nauseous yet? Brace yourselves:
His adversaries are implacable, but a critical mass of Americans still like to feel better about themselves because they feel good about Obama, just as they did when they elected him twice. The public understands that the president’s biggest structural political problems are not of his making, and none of the setbacks of the second term have altered the fact that people basically like the guy.
Serious, you guys! Obama’s handsome and likable and handsome and good for our self-esteem. And handsome. Oh, and he totally isn’t responsible for any of that stuff that he did.

Excellent question. It’s definitely a far cry from legitimate reporting.

This tweeter’s not sniffing the Obama glue, and he could teach Politico a thing or two:
@RMGriffis @instapundit Politico on Obama:"But when he tries even a bit, he can’t help being winning." He's not winning, & he's very trying.

Amen. Politico’s shameless swill may pass for “real journalism” with Senate hacks, but it sure as hell doesn’t with us:

It really is disgusting.
