Delaware attorney general and Iraq vet Beau Biden underwent surgery yesterday at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. Last week, 44-year-old Biden suddenly became disoriented, and doctors are working to determine the cause of the episode:

Beau Biden also suffered a stroke in 2010.

Here is the full statement:

Yesterday our son Beau underwent a successful procedure. He is in great shape and is going to be discharged tomorrow and heading home to Delaware. He will follow up with his local physicians in the coming weeks.

While the Bidens await further news on Beau’s condition, well-wishes are pouring in:

Don’t be a douche. This is not the time for that.

Dude, you don’t have to like the Biden family, but stay classy. Show a little respect & compassion for the sick. Sheesh!

Well, at least you addressed the remark to the right person…yourself.

I don’t wish this on anyone. Get well soon.

God bless the Biden family. The Vice President has already buried one child; something no parent should ever have to endure.

    • mike_in_kosovo

As a parent who has also had to bury their child, strongly agree.

  • grais

    I also wish him well.

No one deserves cancer, or even a cancer scare.

(or a lying idiot for a father)

Good luck and get well Mr. Biden.

  • Jennifer

My sister is battling cancer. It is a horrible thing to fight, and my prayers are with Beau Biden and his entire family. God bless you.

    • grais

My prayers for your sister and you, Jennifer. I lost my big sister to cancer 35 years ago. So many advances since then, so many successful battles, so much hope to be had. All the best to you.

      • Jennifer

Thank you. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in March and has just finished her 6th round of chemo. Her tumors have reduced dramatically and we are optimistic. All things are possible!

Nobody deserves cancer. Nobody. Get well, and thank you for your service.

If you’re stricken with cancer, the best place to be is MD Anderson, IMO.

That;s not an opinion; it’s a fact. State of the Art.

  • Dragomance

Whether or not you agree with his father, nobody deserves to go through that. It’s a horrible experience for you and your family. Also, don’t take it out on the child for the actions of the father because nobody deserves that and other than his father,I’d say he’s a nobody in political circles so what do you have to be hateful against him for?

  • ObamaFail

Beau Biden is lucky he’s a liberal. Otherwise the liberals on twitter wouldn’t be praying for a quick recovery, they’d be wishing he’d die during surgery.

Glad he’s going to be okay. But it needs to be pointed out how quick liberals are to wish speedy recovery for their side, and then wish death on our side’s members when they have to undergo surgery.

    • mike_in_kosovo

      Agreed.

  • Ralph_Gizzip

If the surgery was really successful it would erase the memory of Slow Joe being his father.

He had a mass in his brain?

That more than anyone can say for his father.

    • therealguyfaux

      Harsh but fair.

At least it’s a joke about the father which in no way either negates the sadness of Beau’s having been stricken, nor the hopefulness for his swift recovery.

But I had thought that Joe Biden was that way because the doctors performing his hair transplant went too deep and accidentally performed a lobotomy. Now you’re telling me there never was a brain to damage?

  • John Smith

    Best wishes for speedy recovery.
To some who are posting jokes about this, please!

This is one time that we all should STOP for a second and wish him speedy recovery. You can’t possibly find someone who despises Liberals and everything the stand for more than me, but when it comes to health, you should NEVER stoop to their level. They do this all time, wishing illness or joking about someone being unfortunate to battle a disease. We are much better than this.

    • Trex Truthor

I don’t see jokes. But what I do see are a gaggle of libs all offering “prayers” for Biden’s recovery. The same scum who keep kids from praying in school, don’t deserve to be invoking God’s name in “get well Tweets”.

  • John Alvarado

I hope he gets better and his family stays strong during this time. Even though I don’t agree with the Biden’s, i still wish them well unlike people who wished Bush 43 died a couple weeks ago. Always be the better man.

  • detroit19

Wishing you a speedy, complete recovery, Mr. Biden.
