The truth is evidently too inconvenient for the State Department.

This afternoon, Gregory Hicks testified that after he questioned Susan Rice and the State Department’s post-Benghazi talking points, he has “effectively been demoted from deputy chief of mission to desk officer.”

Is this what future whistleblowers should expect from the Obama Administration?

Extremely shady.

More from Ace of Spades:

Don’t think the situation could possibly get any shadier? Let California Democrat, Rep. Jackie Speier, show you you’re wrong:

Oh yes. That happened.

Sure sounded like it.

No shame.

If we had a majority in the Senate, Obama would be impeached.

    • Lady 12

      Maybe he will be.

    • RblDiver

Impeached? Perhaps. Conviced? Never. Even old-fart Harry Reid’d throw himself under the bus first to protect Teh Wun!

      • Gary Freeman

What’s funny is that the Dems will protect Obama for anything. But if this creates enough of a storm that the House starts impeachment proceedings because the people demand it, the Dems will end up helping impeach Obama just to save face for next years elections. Because if this causes public outcry to demand Obama’s impeachment, the Dems will start sweating, because they know that the people will remember that they tried to protect Obama from the will of the people.

    • Squirrel!

Watergate took from 1972-1975. This could go on as long. Let’s pray that we keep the House in 2014 & take the Senate. Without any fraud, it’d be do-able. In the meantime, how much more damage will this administration do?

      • bonnieblue2A

As much as it possibly is able. The rabid dogs are being backed into the corner and they will snarl, gnash their teeth, and attack anyone who attempts to rein them in.
I sincerely hope these whistleblowers and their families have protection lest they end up like Seal Team 6.

    • Eric Boyer

Yes, unfortunatley for you, the American people realize you folks aren’t capable of that kind of responsibility.

      • Finrod Felagund

So are you willing to bet $50 that Democrats will maintain control of the Senate?

    • Jim Chandler

If we impeach Obama, does that mean we get Biden as President? I’d rather have Obama.

      • Right Wired

Well, he can stay as President, even impeached – like Willy.

    • radicallyalyssa

While I’d absolutely love the idea of Obama getting justly impeached, I truly don’t believe it’s going to happen. The truth will never set Americans free when it comes to that tyrant.

It would have been great if Hicks had answered that he wants to go back to Libya.

    • Brian H (wackobird)

” and you know, I love the danger of having no security……..and no backup”
PLEASE SEND ME BACK TO BENGHAZI!!!!!! Section 8 anyone?????

  • Gary Freeman

The Dems are so desperate, they are trying to bribe Hicks DURING the hearing. If that doesn’t show that what he has to say is damaging to the current administration, I don’t know what else does.

  • nc

I hadn’t been able to watch the hearings live until about an hour ago (they just adjourned) and I have to say, it was RIVETING! Hicks, Thompson and Nordstrom were very impressive. Hicks, especially, was extremely precise with his answers, making sure he understood what was being asked of him, and not being afraid to admit when he didn’t remember some minute detail. The Repub Congressmen were great! Asked relevant questions, stayed on point, didn’t meander, acted like a team, with Issa as captain.

Near the end, Issa asked the three whistleblowers if the long, difficult questioning process was worth it, and each answered “Yes.” I think Hicks secretly wanted to answer “Hell yes!” but he was too much the gentleman.

Hillary, the State Dept, the Dems in general (including their lapdog press) and yes, BHO too, should be quaking a little.

    • Spatial Awareness

I wish we would have heard more from Thompson.

The whistle blowers in Fast and Furious got SCREWED. Those who “played along” got promotions. It’s been proven. What’s up with the Republicans letting that happen? That discourages others from coming forward. Maybe they can all write books and be famous like liberals Woodward and Bernstein?

  • Brian H (wackobird)

Sorry if I repeat myself……WOW, Just WOW. Am I living in the country that was founded by among others Ben Franklin?

  • Eric Boyer

So a disgruntled employee disagrees with his boss, and now he’s a “Whistleblower.” That’s just hilarious.

    • Squirrel!

And they are counting on you low info sheep to see it that way. This man was commended through his career by his higher ups & then called by Obama after the incident in Benghazi & thanked for his service and his actions during it all. He was only demoted after he questioned the LIES given to the American public on 5 Sunday shows. I’m sure all of you Obama electronic employees will be out in full force on these comment sections for the next several days. Working overtime, “Eric?”

  • Al Ways

Haw! Considering this gentleman did his very best as a State Department employee, including trying to get his leadership to rethink their phoney-baloney video story, and he gets pulled off station, hollered at by a 2-bit diplomatic aide and then banished to a desk job, do you think a person of this character would jump at some congresswoman dangling a carrot under his nose? Unbelievable the arrogance of our democrat congress people. Did she slide a folded piece of paper across the table with a cash offer that she had just talked to her boss about (a’la used car saleswoman?) Good grief!

  • old_ogre

Looks like im not the only one who thought the offer was a veild attempt at a bribe…

  • rm1evo

I know everybody heard it and I want (PLEASE) the Republicans to bring it back up and ask Mr. Hicks in his own words that was a being bribe. And its on record that dingbat Speir can’t take it back.

  • Emerson8

I had no idea congress made diplomatic assignments like that. Who knew?

    :snort: :guffaw:

    What a condescending witch.
