The decision to send snapshots of his crotch to strangers was Anthony Weiner’s own, but if the New York Times Magazine is to be believed, the late Andrew Breitbart had nothing to do with forcing Weiner’s hand when it was time to be straight with his wife and the public. That’s strange; we remember Breitbart being so essential to the story that he ended up at the podium at Weiner’s own press conference.

Ace of Spades remembers as well. So how does a professional news publication like the New York Times Magazine manage to so thoroughly overlook Breitbart’s pivotal role? It’s almost as though the Times is trying to pave the way for Weiner’s political comeback.

A correction really isn’t that difficult to post, New York Times Magazine. Look, Ace will even write it for you.

We’ve seen all we want to see of Weiner, but if you can’t get enough of Ace, click over to Ace of Spades HQ for a further dissection of the Weinergate timeline alongside excerpts from the NYT Magazine piece.

Hahaha. This Ace fellow should get a blog or something. Seriously, good job hammering the lying sobs Ace! Here’s the whole press conference video and it’s classic Breitbart.

I can never read Wiener’s name without laughing. Of course, he just wanted to stay true to his name, both literally and figuratively.

Totally 8th grade of me, but he said the editors polished the Weiner story….

  • Aaron

“Going soft on Weiner”??? I see what you did there, Twitchy!

    • AaronHarrisinAlaska

And that is one sexy screen name you have good sir.

  • Spatial Awareness

Ace grabs those as*holes by the throat and shakes ’em like a pitbull!

  • AaronHarrisinAlaska

    NYT: What bias?

  • Brian H (wackobird)

I hear Ace took a club (rhetorically of course) to Jim Carrey today…….could it be ANY funnier than “….going soft on Weiner” headline? Unless it ends with complete evacuation of the bladder and bowels(simultaneously) of Mr. Carrey while wearing bike shorts and drinking sparkling water all captured on HD video…….I just don’t think so.

      Nice quote. Thanks.

  • RevDrEBuzz

There is collusion going on between these journolists and politicians…it’s getting worse and pathetic.

    And, of course, dangerous.

  • trixiewoobeans

I watched some of this on TV, specifically Breitbart in the crowd jumping and yelling and waving at Weiner (I believe with a cell phone) and Weiner desperately trying to blow him off and shut him up…sweating bullets, by the way. He was a Twitchy Weiner that day, I tell you!

  • L.N. Smithee

My hat’s off to Ace. It took a lot of focus to lay all of that out on the fly when he obviously was angry enough to bend nails with his teeth. If I could manage that, I could blog every day, which, if you’ve read my blog, you know I don’t. I’m still working on a Carrey piece.

  • Maxx

If I could wipe my ass with the NY Times, I would.

    That is all.

  • sleazyrider

I hope Weiner doesn’t stroke over this negative press!

  • Matt

Only the far left would excuse and then attempt to prop up (phrasing!) someone like Weiner. “Oh whatever Clinton did in his personal life was private”!! The hypocrisy is so strong with these idiots, yet with the vast majority of the press shoved firmly up Obama’s ass, who’s going to report on it but bloggers. Pathetic.

  • Jay

Won’t really matter. The story is written, and the NYT will not post a correction. At the very least, it will be buried in page C62 with the gluten laden recipes.

  • prescient11

    Fucking brilliant.
