The Federalist's Sean Davis nails pissy progs for 'selective outrage' over Senate's Facebook inquiry

As Twitchy told you, Senate Commerce Committee chair John Thune — a Republican — has decided that the government has nothing better to do than look into Facebook’s alleged bias against conservatives. That pisses off a lot of people, and rightly so.

There is a silver lining, though. In their quest to expose Facebook’s anti-conservative platform, Senate meddlers have also unwittingly performed a service: Shedding light on liberal hypocrisy.

Take, for example, Harry Reid:

“The Republican Senate refuses to hold hearings on Judge Garland, refuses to fund the President’s request for Zika aid and takes the most days off of any Senate since 1956, but thinks Facebook hearings are a matter of urgent national interest,” Adam Jentleson, a top aide to Reid, said in a statement. “The taxpayers who pay Republican senators’ salaries probably want their money back.”

And plenty of others:

That’s quite an about-face for progressives, no?

Suddenly, liberals can’t stomach the thought of government intervention in the private sector. Where have these laissez-faire lefties been hiding all this time?

The Federalist’s Sean Davis can’t help but be fascinated by their stunning change of heart:
