In other “we’re not sure what’s true and what’s not” news, it would appear there is a discrepancy about whether Flynn resigned or if Trump asked for his resignation.
Trump aides have insisted he did not ask for Flynn’s resignation, but Speaker Ryan said otherwise:
NEW: @SpeakerRyan: Pres. Trump "made the right decision to ask for" Gen. Flynn's resignation https://t.co/qdZJiCzvGS pic.twitter.com/ycVLbWGrHw

Pretty straight forward, yeah? “Made the right decision to ask for … ”

It would save face honestly if Trump did ask for the resignation proving he is “in charge” of his own cabinet. HOWEVER Trump’s aides have insisted (which goes beyond simply stating something, they are INSISTING) that Flynn resigned and was not asked to.
This appears to be the first time someone is saying Trump asked for the resignation. His aides insisted he didn't https://t.co/i5EGpSymbX
