Yeah, that’s weird isn’t it? As Twitchy reported, the hackery at the New York Times continues. First, the NYT lapdogs characterized Obama’s “you can keep your plan” lie as he “misspoke.” Now, they are calling it an “incorrect promise.” No, for serious.

Ludicrous, of course. But perhaps we can simplify it for the poor dears. A giver helps them out with a quick flashback:

Obama Stunning Admission (cspan) January 2010
…ends with Obama stating Baker, Dole, Daschal, Not a radical bunch…

  • Stephen L. Hall #NonquamTrump

So, Clinton was not disbarred for perjury, he was disbarred for an “incorrect promise under oath.”

    • Bill Gryan

Was he disbarred? That depends on what the definition of “was” was.

    • dukem1

The entire Obama presidency may be the biggest intelligence failure in the history of the nation.

  • Texan357

    Bush misspoke, people croaked?

  • pinupartist

If there was ever a group of people who deserve to be slut-shamed, it’s the NYT.

Big Government doesn’t need to buy the cow because they’re getting the milk for free. Way to speak truth to power, trust-funders!

  • SupplyGuy

Will the NY Times just go bankrupt already? Or are they making enough from liberals to be an eternal niche news source?

    • pinupartist

The NYT is really more of an “orifice” news source than a “niche” 😉

      • Ryan Schneider.

Like a tick you have stuck up your nose.

        • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

Wrong orifice you think of when someone mentions the NYT’s..

          • Ryan Schneider.

You can get ticks in that hole too.

    • dukem1

For groupies, it’s never really about the music.

  • MNWoman

I wonder if the morning meetings at the NYT (and really most MSM outlets) include counseling sessions because they are actually having to give *gasp* criticisms, albeit very gentle criticisms, of their precious leader.

    • pinupartist

I picture lots of crying & hugging. “But he said he loved meeeeeeeeee” =sob sob=

      • MNWoman

Exactly. It’s like one big support group.

What could we call the support group? Reality impaired support group?

        • pinupartist

“It’s not that he lies, it’s that we love too much”

  • Jack Deth

    Memo to NYT:

When you have been digging a hole that is five feet above your head.

Your marching orders to the lesser liberal media are getting far beyond pathetic.

    • Ryan Schneider.

Only five? It looks to me that they have hit the foundations of the oldest subway in Manhattan. Any lower and the city will need more pumps to keep the water table down.

  • Larry Rappaport

In 2010 President Obama demonstrated to me overtly that he did not have the experience nor temperament to be POTUS. Yet the Times today continues to support this President when even the lowest information voter understands they were deceived by him directly, regardless of how the NYT spins this. The result of the President’s deceit has caused his poll numbers to sink like a rock tied to a rock. The Times has supported this failure for 3 years which will obviously be recorded in our history books as well. Blind as bats, bad journalism or simply an ideological kamikaze mission? These are strange and different times so I say the latter at this point.

    • Ryan Schneider.

More like a rock tied to a lump of lead tied to a lump of pure osmium.

      • Jack Deth

Depleted Uranium…. Works great on Russian tanks.

        • Ryan Schneider.

Is pure uranium heavier then osmium?

          • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

            Use both..

            only way to be sure..

  • MNWoman

This is right up there with this gem from David Gregory:

(This was regarding the changing of talking points on Benghazi and Gregory said Carney’s statements were not accurate)

  • walterc

When my kids were growing up and they lied to me, I didn’t accept an “I misspoke” argument. If I won’t let my kids get away with calling a iie anything other than a lie, why would I let my government?

  • maplebob23

Why does this awful paper have any credibility with anyone after its horrible history of lying and manipulation let alone let it set the tone for the entire news day? #JustDontLook

  • AnneLewis

Great…now the kids will be saying they “misspoke with an incorrect promise” whenever they lie to us. And I thought Clinton’s “It all depends on what the definition of ‘is’ is” BS was bad…this is incredible!

  • LinTaylor ✓vitrified

I could see an “incorrect promise” as one made if the person making the promise had bad or inaccurate info, IE “We’re going for ice cream after the big game!” without knowing that the local Dairy Queen closed last month.

So maybe it works for Obama, considering he’s been doing his level best to insist that, like Sgt. Schultz, he sees nothing and knows nothing.

    • Ryan Schneider.

Well, at least the deaf/blind community will no longer be unfairly barred from public office, eh?

    • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

The only president in history to run against his own presidency as an outsider who has no clue what his underlings are up to, till he reads it in Pravda… also known as the NYT’s..

  • Frank DiSalle

What in the h-e-double hockey sticks is an “incorrect promise”? Is that like promising that the square of the hypotenuse will not be the sum of the squares of the other two sides?
    What nonsense!

  • chrisl

The big difference is, 43 was relying in good faith on consensus intelligence that later proved to be wrong, while 44 knew full well his “can keep it” statement was inaccurate. The policy advisors told him it was likely that people would lose coverage, but he sided with the political advisors and chose to omit the word “probably.”

  • dwsmokin

People respect those that admit their mistakes. They disdain those who don’t-be it a President or a news source. Oddly enough, both-in their own way-becoming irrelevant.

  • tedZilla99

incorrect promise = white hispanic in the world of truth revision “journalists”

  • Paul C.

    NYT= mouth piece for WH.

  • BMightyCreative

Let me try: I know I promised ’til death do us part…’ but that was an incorrect promise. Why are you crying? I’m so sorry you believed me, I must have mispoke when I said that. Hey, if you like the condo, you can keep it. (not really; ah dang, another incorrect promise.) Damn my words!

    • Paladin

If only she didn’t want to believe you so badly, you wouldn’t have had to say what you said.

  • camp50

It has yet to dawn on these leftwing mooks that if Bush & Cheney “lied”, so did Hillary.

  • lainer51

I guess Uncle Ted made an incorrect promise to Mary Jo Kopechne when he “went for help”.

  • ObamaFail

The NYT isn’t fit to clean up dog crap with.

  • SRVDisciple

Tell me incorrect promises, tell me sweet little incorrect promises

  • Exodus2011

LTC West has expressed the truth SUCCINCTLY about this lawless corrupt lying FRAUD in the Spitehouse

    • Mark81150 Never/Trump/Hillary

Damn… why couldn’t it have been West,.. then history could be JUSTLY proud.. instead we got the most petty little man on the planet.. American blacks should be marching with torches to demand he stop portraying himself as one of them,.. he’s only made their lives harder.. and left a stain it’ll take generations to wipe off the WH marble.
