Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s late-night tweet was prompted by a gaffe that occurred during Fox Sports’ coverage of a NASCAR race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.

The incident began when Fox Sports NASCAR commentator Michael Waltrip, talking about the crew chief for one of the drivers, used the term “master strategery” when he intended to say “master strategist.”  Realizing his mistake, Waltrip referred to the crew chief as having “Palin strategery.”  Waltrip and Fox Sports host Chris Myers then laughed at Waltrip’s anti-Palin joke.

Palin, however, has never used the word “stategery” except in a joking manner.

The word was coined more than a decade ago in a Saturday Night Live sketch in which comedian Will Ferrell portrayed President George W. Bush.

Palin has been a strong supporter of NASCAR. Earlier this year, she tweeted her support for Danica Patrick. In 2010, she attended the Daytona 500, and was well-received by fans there.

Twitter reaction to Waltrip’s comments was uniformly negative:

https://twitter.com/PROVIDENCE1791/status/310868471359619073

In response to Palin’s tweet, Waltrip offered an olive branch via Twitter, calling her “one [of] my fav people on earth” and posting a photo of himself with Sarah and Todd Palin.

However, he did not apologize.

Ironically, Myers (the Fox Sports host who thought Waltrip’s anti-Palin smear was funny) posted a tweet decrying “haters” on Monday:

Takes one to know one.

Hat tip: Rick Evans.

      • Timbet

Sarah Palin has been attacked and scrutinized like no one else; she’s probably the “cleanest” politician out there.

There has not been one aspect of Palin’s life and career that has not been chewed over, criticized and lied about by her enemies; she has withstood the slings, barbs, bullets, and arrows that would have fallen a lesser person.

Soon after Palin entered the national political scene as Arizona Sen. John McCain’s GOP running mate, she was attacked as a diva, a clothes hog, an irresponsible mother and a political mercenary. They dismissed what she achieved as mayor of her hometown, commissioner of the state’s oil and pipeline board and governor of America’s largest state.

Sarah Palin’s enemies decided that nothing was too personal to attack-including her marriage, her children, her faith, and her wardrobe.

The media distorted Palin’s positions and beliefs beyond recognition. And almost every word out of her mouth was spun as a “flub”.

The media hounded her, and her family, on a daily basis, flat out making crap up (like that she, personally, shot wolves from the air). They claimed her baby was not her own; used despicable language to attack her, and her family; sent numerous reporters to Wasilla to dig up dirt on her ; AP reporters “factchecked” her book; accused her of being an accomplice to murder, her email hacked by the son of a Democrat congressman, political operatives filing endless bogus ethic charges designed to bankrupt a working family with a special need toddler and much more.

The media went through pages and pages of Palin Emails (24,000+ pages of emails from Palin’s term as governor), looking for damning information that could wipe Sarah Palin from America’s political scene.

What they found was the inner workings of an efficient, informed and very involved governor that mounted an unprecedented 80 plus approval rating while in office. Those emails revealed a hard-working, committed public servant.

Even the mainstream media has been forced to concede that Palin was a conscientious, transparent, and effective public servant……..not exactly what the death squads of WaPo, the NYT, and other mainstream outlets had in mind.

There were no sex scandals, no lewd twitter photos, no misuse of taxpayer dollars, and no malicious behavior, whatsoever. Just a governor doing her job.

This scenario is in sharp contrast to the manner in which the media handled Barack Obama, whom it woefully failed to properly investigate in 2007-08.

The media , Hollywood and the REP establishment have done everything they can to vilify Sarah Palin and her family but despite a massive effort to destroy her, she is still on her feet and making a difference in the political world.

By the way, if Obama received half of the bad press that Sarah Palin does, his favorables would be in the low 30’s

Of course Hollywood doesn’t blacklist or discriminate against conservative actors … OOOHHH NNNOOOOO! I’ll bet Juan thinks Sarah Jessica Parker, Sarah Silverman, and Julia Roberts are major babes too!

        • KansasGirl

They might be “leftist”, but they certain aren’t feminist.

          • Calcat36

Their liberalism destroys their femininity as well. Sarah Bernhard? Rosie O’dumbell? Wookie Goldberg? Babs lately? Sarandon? There is only ONE hot chick on the View and she ain’t a libtard. Figure that out!

        • Calcat36

You mean all of the ones that felt “picked on” when Seth sang the We saw your boobs bit? Those hollyweird chicks didn’t look so proud of pimping their bodies out… OH WAIT, when you have NO BRAINS, you drop your clothes! You Jim, are as dim as they.

        • daeghrefn

No, those are just the airheads who’ll say anything that will please the Harvey Weinstein types so they don’t have to turn to waiting tables, pole dancing or starring in porno.

      • E Quilibrate

        You mean, “ole blabbermouth?”

    • Tom Sizemore

i agree…she is smart and beautiful. it is of MY opinion that most libtard skanks are nasty. so they ARE jealous

      • RushLpig

Lol, old men contards, palins biggest fans.

    • RushLpig

Yes, she does give all the old fart contards pant tents.

      • KansasGirl

Does Moooochelle give you pant tents?

Hey Myers and Waltrip there is an old saying ” it is better to have people think you a fool then to open your mouth and confirm their beliefs.” Shut the Foxtrot UP!!!!

  • Donnie

Waltrip & Myers are quick to forget that the base of NASCAR fans and the majority of NASCAR are fans are good old Right Wingers. Poor Waltrip…can’t drive…can’t host.

  • Brian Roastbeef

Ugh… if they really wanted to rip on Palin, they should do so for her choice in driver… Danica is a slowly moving disaster area out there, and not a good personal role model either. Then again, these idiots in the booth slobber over her more than anybody.

Chris Myers is a standard sports media hack, not from Nascar, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s another lefty douche like Mayne and Olbermann. Waltrip isn’t a lefty, but he tends to think he’s a lot funnier than he is. Overall the Nascar coverage has been a worse wreck than anything the sport itself has had all season.

    • thorschariot

” Danica is a slowly moving disaster area out there”? really? her first full season in a Cup car and she won the pole at Daytona, lead a couple of laps, was in the top FIVE most of the race and finished 9th. which, by the way, put her ahead of about 34 other drivers.

      • Brian Roastbeef

Then 40th at Phoenix, then 37th at Las Vegas. Anybody can finish in the top 10 at Daytona. Mike Wallace does almost every year. At Vegas, she took a well-funded Stewart Haas car and slowly went more laps down like a common field filler.

    • Garym

Danica is definitely a diva, but give the lady some credit. She is out there driving with the big boys and breaking barriers.

      • Brian Roastbeef

Barriers like the first driver to cheat on her husband with her fellow competitor for Rookie of the Year?

Nothing great in the 3 races so far, outside of the plate tracks… and even the likes of Derrike Cope managed to win at Daytona.

  • Shane Ladd

Myers & Waltrip are a putrid pair of Tina Fey wannabees.

    • Hiraghm

I have to admit, Tina Fey is physically more attractive than Sarah Palin. Inside she’s far stinkier and uglier, however.

      • cvmoonshadow

No one would know her name if it wasn’t for Sarah playing along and laughing at herself. To me is an endearing quality others may mistake for stupidity. She has proven to me over and over again that she is far from stupid as it comes. She has common sense and a servants heart. Sarah did say she did a better impersonation than Julianne Moore which I have to agree.

        • v1cious

“No one would know her name if it wasn’t for Sarah playing along and laughing at herself”

You can’t be ignorant enough to believe this. Tina Fey was on SNL and 30 Rock long before I bet you even knew Sarah Palin’s name. If anything, it’s other way around.

          • cvmoonshadow

I don’t watch those shows and didn’t know who she was along with many that I know until 2008 after Sarah was nominated for the VP slot. Ignorant is calling others names when you know nothing about them. Yes many more learned who she was after she impersonated Sarah.

FOX NEWS COMMENTATORS, LIKE THE REST OF the STUPID MEDIA Personality stink tank, think they are soooo smart. THEY READ FROM SCRIPTS and TELEPROMTERS. THEY HAVE BEEN ELEVATED TO A POSITION OF INTELLIGENCE FALSELY. WHO ARE THEY? JUST PAWNS … BIG MOUTHS the media chooses to BELCH OUT THEIR SULFUR. SICK OF ALL THE WANNA BEE MOVIE STARS. lol. ONE DAY SOMEONE WILL MOCK AND SCOFF AND FART ON THEM AS WELL. I have to admit, I have lowered myself by even commenting. YUK!

waltrip and intelligence in the same sentence ROFLMAO

  • Ken Carter

People love to talk, but when they do, it always seems to end up in the gutter. The best “strategery” to achieve success and popularity in life is to remember that nobody ever wins an argument or is truly funny by calling other people names — unless you are Don Rickles.

  • cjhsa

Our media is full of shit. Period. Waltrip and Myers are just two of the overflowing number of turds in the punch bowl.

  • Joel A. Edge

I hate to say it but FOX seems to be falling into some of the same habits of the mainstream media.

  • TruDat

I will never understand the irrational hatred for Sarah Palin.

    • Mike Foltz

It’s from those “compassionate” Liberals who get “offended” at anything said about one of theirs and throw a bich fit and say Repubs have “The war on women” when in fact their the haters.

    • Hiraghm

My “rational distaste” for Sarah Palin peaked when she sat next to the scumbag Ferraro and sang her praises while referring to women like my own mother as “neaderthal” because she disapproved of Palin’s behavior with her mongoloid, excuse me, “down’s syndrome”, son.

My “rational distaste” for Sarah Palin overflowed when she started spewing the tired old, poor, picked on female glass ceiling line of tripe.

My contempt for Sarah Palin grew when I saw this great white huntress look like a complete fool while out hunting with daddy.

My “rational distaste” for Sarah Palin only grew when, instead of retiring from public life to care for her ailing son, she dragged him along on every campaign stop to shove in front of the cameras.

And my “rational distaste” for Sarah Palin took root when for months during her campaign she promoted the fraud that her daughter was going to marry the father of her bastard child, once it was born, rather than marrying her immediately in order to make the child legitimate… until after the election.

That’s too much typical politician BS for my tolerance.

      • Timbet

Notice that none of your critique are truly about Sarah Palin’s policies; they concentrate on personal attacks and childish gossip stories.

      • thorschariot

now we get to the truth. so, what, jimmy, did mean old Sarah hurt your widdle feelings by saying mean things about your Mommy? did your “own mother” happen to think maybe that “mongoloid” children should still be hidden away or sent to institutions like they were in the “good old days” so that they can’t embarrass their families? is that it? as far as I know, Trig Palin is not “ailing” and is physically just as healthy as President Obama’s daughters, who Daddy dragged all over the campaign trail. did it offend dear old Mommy’s delicate sensibilities to be forced to see a child with Downs Syndrome loved and treated just like any other baby? at least now we know where your issues all originate. hatred begins at home.

      • Orpheus75

But I bet if she was an idiot Democrat screaming “racism” towards the evil “tea-baggers”, you wouldn’t give one hoot about any of those things you listed. You hate her for the same reason(s) all of the Left hate her. She’s a Conservative. Period.

      • wwbdinct

You are officially a troll. And a misogynist one at that judging from your comments the past couple of weeks.

        • rinodino

Lol always throwing the feminist card I see, that all you got?

          • KansasGirl

But nothing beats the extreme left-wings’ “race” card. lol

      • Andrew Barbin

        Dear Troll Jim,

Thank you for the immolative self disclosures.

So who is this wrongly traduced mother your are defending? Your diction is quite telling as to your emotional, rather than “rational” distaste. Share the name and an article about this perceived injury and lets see how the readers judge who was right or wrong?

My recollection is all who attacked Sarah on this ground lost badly in the Court of world opinion, even with an unbalanced media. The vote was for Sarah and against the neanderthals. Most had the decency to retract and apologize, somehow I am guessing your mom did not. The apple rarely falls far from the tree.

Those who did not, found that a mother grizzly does not suffer fools willingly, and could return volley effectively. She did not get her journalism degree out of a crackerjack box. The abuse has boomeranged consistently and she has continued to thrive as a leader in a genuine grassroots movement which has effectively elected candidates at every level of government.

There was a glass ceiling, people like Ferraro and Palin helped break through it. I

If your shooting is anything like your writing, even paper targets can live without fear. I watched the same show, and once the gun was re-sighted, she did quite well. The Tarzan era snipe was further off target than she was with an unsighted scope; you might want to check yours.

While I suspect your medical credentials were self conferred your diagnosis would lead to a malpractice suit. There was absolutely no reason to retire and her son was not “ailing.”

Shutting away those who are different was the shame of the time of my youth, I remember visiting the “homes” for such children for a few years 34 to 37 years ago. It was heart wrenching. Anyone who would prefer that approach would deserve to be labeled a neanderthal.

I was at several of those campaign stops in Pa, I took and posted video, her child was not shoved in front of the camera’s. In fact the only coverage I recall was when local news outlets asked for brief footage to run with stories about local services for parents of similar children, which was one of the few good things to come from that disastrous election (the result, not the republican VP nominee).

I find the last comment particularly telling though. Who still clings to the neanderthal concept of legitimacy, as if a child’s worth is decided by a parent’s decisions? If you had a daughter (which I doubt) you should know that matters are never as simple or as black and white in actual reality as your writing projects of your myopic little universe of borrowed animus.

Sarah Palin has used common sense, intellect and courage to achieve more in a few years than most in a lifetime, and like a salmon she has done so up stream against a strong current. Thing is, while you apparently waste your life worrying about her, I doubt she knows you even exist.

Can’t stand the heat, maybe you should leave the kitchen and retire the momma’s boy apron you seem to be wearing.

        • cvmoonshadow

  • StealthM93

I refudiate this post. Sorry, folks, it could have been a snide remark on Palin.
    http://www.examiner.com/article/sarah-palin-makes-up-word-refudiate-and-compares-herself-to-shakespeare-video

Sarah needs to learn to be less sensitive and pick her battles more carefully. I agree with another poster that this comes across petty and whinny. Another personal example (though not necessarily Sarah herself)… On Sarah’s FB page, I was respectfully critical how Sarah handled a situation with Christine O’Donnell in Iowa after Christine lost her Senate bid. Bam! I was ‘disliked’ (removed) by the page administrator. Seriously?

While I mostly agree with her politics and she’s a good spokesman for conservative causes, I am glad she’s no longer a political candidate.

    • daeghrefn

“Sarah needs to learn to be less sensitive and pick her battles more carefully. I agree with another poster that this comes across petty and whinny.”

Every time that the woman’s defended herself, even after Tucson, she’s been told to shut up and stop whining. Every. Time.

      • StealthM93

I agree. I didn’t say she needs to shut up. I simply said she needs to choose her battles more carefully. This is one that’s not worth it — it comes across as whinny and lessens her gravitas.

        • daeghrefn

Yeah, but “blood libel” also came across as whiny and lessened her gravitas, or so we were told. Taking offense to jokes about her son Trig ditto. At some point you have to say to hell with gravitas.

      • Hiraghm

You’d think one of these days she’d do it, huh?

        • Finrod Felagund

          Sexist troll pig

    • TexSizzle

If she weren’t constantly attacked, she wouldn’t need to defend herself. Why are leftists so afraid of her that they won’t leave her alone? Bless your heart. “Whinny”? She’s never sounded like a horse.

      • v1cious

This is how backasswards you guys are. You’re so far gone that you can’t even separate friendly banter from politics. Palin is pop culture now, so of course people are gonna laugh at her expense now and then. Everyone that makes a joke isn’t some liberal operative out to get you.

      • StealthM93

Timbet, you make my case. By responding to nearly every jibe, criticism, slight, etc. (no matter how small), she exhausts people of her value.
Plenty of examples mentioned in the replies to my initial comment certainly did deserve addressing by her and us conservatives.
AGAIN, she must choose wisely, not completely ignore criticism or wilt. Please read my post carefully. I agree with her politics and conservatism. I saying that she would do herself more good by picking worthwhile battles. This issue, in my opinion, is not one worth mentioning.

        • Timbet

“By responding to nearly every jibe, criticism, slight, etc. (no matter how small), she exhausts people of her value.”
          ——————–

Usually Sarah Palin does not (!) respond to attacks.

But sometimes she has to fight back against the lies and smears because otherwise the lie becomes the truth.

          • Garym

Sarah and Nascar share the same fanbase. She is absolutely correct in defending herself in this case.

      • v1cious

Man it’s gonna be fun to come back to all these comments when Hillary runs in 2016. Also, the majority of the attacks you cited were from the GOP. The stuff about her expensive wardrobe and Palin being a diva came from Mccain’s staffers.

  • Kristy Patullo

Smackdown by Sarah Palin! Awesome! These two guys need to man up and give her a proper apology.

  • Mark Brockman

I think everyone is a little too touchy these days. Michael seems like a decent guy, I don’t think he meant anything malicious. We all say things off the cuff that don’t come out right. Chill out people.

    • daeghrefn

Well, you could be a little touchy after being used as a pinata for nearly five years though. Enough is enough.

    • JoeBideyourtime

Look what ESPN did to their own Brent Musberger for paying compliments to AJ McCarrons’ girlfriend and mother. Brent must not be quite liberal enough. Has Fox censured Waltrip or Myers?

  • dfhall

Waltrip isn’t a good driver and even worse as a commentator.

  • Mike Foltz

It’s funny when Liberals get away with attacking Conservative women (which they do regularly) and then spew that the Republicans are the ones with the “war on women” when in fact the real haters are the Libtards.

  • Steve_J

    Myers then shouldn’t lie.

  • Hiraghm

Gee, Sarah Palin supports Danica Patrick… wow. never could have predicted that or seen it coming… well, yeah okay, considering I keep pointing out how Palin is a feminist before she’s a conservative, I kinda expected it…

Must take a lot of energy playing a victim all the time. Poor, poor Sarah, such a delicate flower.

    • Jack Deth

You really are quite ignorant, uninformed and just plain stupid.

What does correcting a lamely executed attempt at the liberal double standard have to do with being a victim?

That’s you and your party’s schtick. It’s gotten far beyond old and tiresome. Past the point of being knee jerk. Though we do enjoy calling out those who use it.

So. Tell me again why and how Ms. Palin is a “victim”?

      • RushLpig

Palin, isn’t a victim, she just likes to play one, to keep people like you sending her money.

        • BobbyBulivia

“For the first time in my life, I’m proud of my country” sounds like a victim mentality to me.

        • Jack Deth

          Really?

Is that the best you’ve got?

Thank you for destroying and negating your original comment argument.

I’ll wager that you are not even aware of it.

      • RushLpig

Do you get this upset with all the hateful, racist, ignorant comments about Michelle Obama? Na, didn’t think so. Yet, you don’t see Mrs. Obama acting like a victim.

        • Jack Deth

Ms. Palin does not invite the sexist and often racist abuse so gleefully and ineffectively heaped upon her by the left.

Please be so kind as to point out any racist comment made here regarding Ms. Obama.

Oh… And your lame attempt to “Squirrel!” and change the topic belies your Low Information Voter status,

You really need to work at that.

        • Fernandida

Do you EVER look in the mirror?

Sarah Palin has NEVER acted like a victim. Though Moochie Obama does it all the time. It’s too bad moochie isn’t as beautiful as Sarah Palin…IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE.

    • BobbyBulivia

Why so obsessed with Sarah Palin, I thought she was an idiot.

      • rinodino

Why obsessed with Ashley Judd? I thought she was an idiot? ….. I can play this game all day

    • TexSizzle

Bless your liberal heart. What is wrong with you people? No matter what she does or says, and in many cases without her saying anything first, you attack her. Are you that afraid of her?

  • Louis Cashmer

Sorry, Chris, seems to me the original comment was rude!

  • gregl311

You guys do realize that Michael is a conservative and Palin fan. I think this was just friendly banter between Waltrip and Palin. Lighten up. Have fun. Don’t take things so seriously.

  • RushLpig

Wonder if she has a team of people that scour the internet looking for perceived negative comments to keep up her victimhood. Don’t worry, Sarah Palin defenders, you can buy cases of her new ghost written book to show your love.

    • Pablo

You actually took the time to type that out? How sad.

    • TexSizzle

      Bless your heart.

    • Fernandida

People like you is what gives the demoKKKrat party a bad name.

  • fed-up

This is amazing. All I can say is Sarah Palin is living rent free in all of these people heads. I have never seen anoyone’s name bandied about for as long as Sarah Palin’s. No politician in recent memory, not Dan Quayle not even Richard Nixon. I don’t know what the fixation is about Sarah Palin that has so many people constantly thinking / talking about her. Maybe it’s a fear she may run for the Senate, or Presidency but something is driving these people. But good for her because it’s true what the old adage says, that bad publicity is better than no publicity at all.

    • BobbyBulivia

The big crime she committed was challenging their fearless leader during the election. How dare she point out things the press was trying to keep under wraps about the 2nd Black President. The left only attacks the people they fear the most. I personally don’t care what Palin’s ambitions are, but by listening to the misogynists on the left rant about her, makes you wonder why their so preoccupied with someone you consider an idiot.

  • John Thomas “Jack” Ward III

    Yeah, Waltrip and Myers made a mistake, that’s a given;but it was only one derogatory joke/comment. And, I think they should apologize to Sarah Palin, but Fox Sports shouldn’t fire them, because of their infinite knowledge of Stock Car Racing. And they should also refrain from Politically-based remarks…. And, Mrs. Palin should be big enough to accept their apology, and worry about the REAL Left… Politics, that is. Jawamax 8<{D}

  • bobbymike34

Its just someone being lazy and saying something they think is funny among their fellow ignoramuses. Totally unacceptable but there you have it, it might take some real talent to make genuinely witty commentary.

Keep politics out of NASCAR….. I want to hear about fast cars Not politicians…. Quit being clowns and start being Broadcasters.

  • Nick Varnalis

the fact the word “strategery” was never uttered by George Bush, but was created by Will Ferrell as a way to mock the President at the time just goes to show how F**king politically inept most Americans are. The same with the phrase “I can see Russia from my house” was never utttered by Palin, again Tine Fey coined that phrase on Saturday Nite Live. No wonder Obama got elected again.

    • http://www.4chan.org/pol La’Milton

You dont understand, maaaan. Those are hard news shows.

  • jpyoung6

A Saturday Night Live skit featuring Tina Fay also invented the “Seeing Russia from my House” comment. Hello to those of you who choose to be ignorant! :)

    • Andrew Barbin

      Agree.

  • marssnw

He was making a joke. I don’t think he meant anything by it. And no, I am not a liberal troll. Im actually very conservative and I like Sara Palin. He probably thought she really said it. Ive heard alot worse things said at her and her families expense.

    • RefudiateGOPe

Yet, you don’t even know how to spell her name.

Must EVERYTHING be scandalous? I love Sarah Palin but she looks small when she replies to something like this, and all Twitchy does is incite more anger. The Lord said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God” and Paul reminds us to live at peace with one another so far as it depends on us (Romans 12:18).
There are real things to be angry about.

We’ve a shiny newbie neophyte in our midst!

ONE whole comment to his, her or its credit.

Could be a freshly cranked out liberal idiot.

Or, could be just another beard showing up after a recent trouncing. No doubt, a youngster.

Who uses “omg” and a distinct lack of punctuation and capitalization to get their point across so poorly?

Welcome to your first down vote!

You mean Michelle Maglalang(funny how you guys criticize Jon Stewart for not using his Jewish name), the one that wrote a book defending Japanese internment?

          • daeghrefn

So it’s Malkin’s fault that Stewart’s apparently ashamed of his “Jewish name”?

Doesn’t Waltrip drive anymore? If you still do drive, please stick to that.

He’s mostly retired as a racer and runs his own company. He still drives occasionally.

I think it is a mountain made of a mole hill, I don’t think Waltrip meant any real malice and I’m not sure but don’t think he is liberal. It’s just one of those unfortunate false things that make it into pop culture, like the “I can see Russia from my house” comment from Tina Fey that get attributed to Palin. To anyone that doesn’t pay close attention to politics it is easy to get stuff like that wrong.

    • RefudiateGOPe

Waltrip could have made this a nothingburger if he had issued an immediate apology. Instead, his silence let it grow. Palin gave him time to defuse it.

      • http://extremesplash.wordpress.com/ Ben Bollman

Maybe he thought he did apologize by saying she was one of his favorite people and didn’t think it was a big deal (because it wasn’t). He like most people over 40 also probably doesn’t check his Twitter that often. Sorry, I’m just giving him the benefit of the doubt here because he isn’t part of the MSM or liberal and instead of making it a bigger deal than it is. I’m not saying it wasn’t stupid either, just saying maybe we should give him a break before we get out the pitchforks and torches.

I never call it “the web” any more. I always call it, “Al Gore’s Amazing Internet” (thank you, @ChrisPlanteShow).

And when the occasional lib objects, “He never SAID that!” I explain, “As long as Sarah Palin can see Russia from her house, Al Gore invented the internet.”

Shuts them up every single time.

    • http://www.BoycottLeftism.com/ itekisan

Except that Al Gore said “During my service in the United Sates Congress, I took the initiative in creating the internet.”

Sarah Palin has many years (successful) executive management experience at local, regional and state levels including command of the Alaska National Guard and has a history of being a reformer and taking on powerful interests for the benefit of ordinary people.

She has always been a tough-as-nails executive who understood her role as a servant for the people during her time as Mayor of Wasilla and as Governor; she took on the Republican establishment, big oil, corruption, ethics reform, and tax reform.

In Alaska, Sarah Palin’s top priorities included fiscal restraint, limiting the size of government, resource development, education, equitable oil valuation as well as transportation and infrastructure development. Sarah Palin fought for ethics reform and transparency in government.

She has cut spending, forward-funded education, and paved the way for job growth in her hometown.
Sarah Palin has fought to reduce spending and to enforce fiscal discipline as governor of Alaska. She has drastically reduced the growth of the state budget, which has helped to produce a record budget surplus.

She cut spending and vetoed hundreds of millions of dollars in spending, not because times were tough, but because she wanted to keep government small and solvent.
She reformed Alaska’s pension system and used surplus dollars to help pay down underfunded pensions, which reduced Alaska’s liabilities by 34.6 % to help provide analysts at Moody’s with enough confidence to later upgrade Alaska’s credit rating to AAA.
She also reduced earmark requests for the state of Alaska by 80% during her administration.

Sarah Palin succeeded to a remarkable extent in settling what had seemed insoluble problems, in the process putting Alaska on a trajectory to financial well-being.

    This is strong financial management.

Under her leadership, Alaska has invested $5 billion in state savings, reformed education funding, and implemented the Senior Benefits Program, which provides support for low-income Alaskan seniors. She’s also established Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.

During Sarah Palin’s first year in office, three of her administrations major proposed pieces of legislation passed—an overhaul of the state’s ethics laws, a competitive process to construct a natural gas pipeline and a restructuring of Alaska’s oil valuation formula.

Sarah Palin’s “business experience” comes with the negotiations and dealings she has had with one of the most powerful industries in the world: the energy industry. Sarah Palin has successfully negotiated new tax structures, lease deals and other issues that arise in the Alaska energy industry.
At the end of the day, Sarah Palin negotiated billion dollar deals with one of the toughest industries in the world.

Taking on corruption and crony capitalism has always been a cornerstone of Sarah Palin’s agenda; in Alaska she did take on the old-boy network — the oil companies and her own party .
As oil and gas commissioner, Sarah Palin called out the unethical practices of members of her own party.
As Governor, she sought to end the back room deals and improper relationships between oil companies and politicians.

Sarah Palin is past chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multistate government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment.

She also served as chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which was charged with pursuing legislation to ensure state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of agriculture, energy, environmental protection and natural resource management.

After poring over thousands of emails (24,000+ pages of emails) from Palin’s term as governor, even the mainstream media has been forced to concede that Palin was a conscientious, transparent, and effective public servant.

The Palin Emails (24,000+ pages of emails) show that Sarah Palin conducted the business of her state in a transparent, bi-partisan, and responsible manner. She worked long, hard hours and treated everyone with respect.

There were no sex scandals, no lewd twitter photos, no misuse of taxpayer dollars, and no malicious behavior, whatsoever. Just a governor doing her job.

I love Sarah, but she should consider REBRANDING her public persona. Change your public insta/image of you, Ms. Palin. Change it from someone who is a victim or a voluntary martyr, or Napoleon on the isle of Elba, into something more positive, more current, more controllable by you the individual. Something to admire vs pity. That rebranding process may take years, but can be done. Ask Al Gore!
Ride the wave of popular trends without initial overspending. Sarah, let yourself be seen as actively helping someone else (not family) have a better life. Assist this person or group to the completion of a positive, even uplifting personal goal. Public, lowkey inspriration of likeminded people, If you are helping new Tea Party people, let us know of that and become at ease with it. Your tv appearances should stand on their own cause and effect without us Tea Sippers feeling we must defend our Queen yet again because nobody but us can understand or appreciate her but us. Make it easy to see how you have helped someone,,
Another reality show? Maybe,,Maybe,,,or get a political appointment of significance. Try to GET APPOINTED, do not run for your very next spot, because the sport haters will poison the political media well, and the low info voters will lap up every drop of lies. GET APPOINTED SARAH to a First Lady Type of cause, An Ambassadorship? Something not lethal, but of undeniable importance to the American people.

After the 2008 election Sarah Palin helped lead Republicans to the greatest congressional victory in several generations during the 2010 election;she has endorsed 73 candidates for the US House of Representatives and Senate; state governors and attorney generals. Her success rate is at 69%.
18 out of 20 targets in her Take Back the 20 campaign ; this is a 90% success rate!

Sarah Palin also had a very strong hand in the party’s few successes during this election . Sarah Palin campaigned for constitutional conservatives llike Ted Cruz, Deb Fischer, Jeff Flake, Paul Gosar, resulting in 5 conservatives being elected to the Senate and 32 conservatives to the House.

Sarah Palin has also penned commentary on such topics as the unrest in Libya, the protests in Wisconsin, Obama’s 2012 budget proposal and State of the Union address, getting tough with Iran and standing with Iranians who seek democracy, challenging the specifics of President Obama’s energy policy, the omnibus spending bill, defeating the New START, opposition to state bailouts, tax policy, a message to Republican freshmen in Congress, opposition to quantitative easing, and more.

She has repeatedly been a leading voice—via television appearances and speaking engagements—against the dangers of ObamaCare and the risks of President Obama’s approach to energy.

By the way, usually Sarah Palin does not (!) respond to attacks.

But sometimes she has to fight back against the lies and smears because otherwise the lie becomes the truth.

  • AMartel

Palin ran the state of Alaska. With an 80% approval rating before the hateful propagandists decided she was inconvenient and went into attack mode. George W. defeated terrorists, outwitted Democrats, and confounded the mainstream media, (great title) all while remaining a genuinely good guy. These are accomplishments. Waltrip and Myer comment on cars that drive around in a circle. And apparently can’t even do that without making mistakes. Then covering up for them with Palin and Bush jokes. Winning!

  • v1cious

Did I miss something? Last time I checked, Sarah Palin isn’t holding any kind of government office. Come to think of it, does she even have a job? I mean even Coulter and Mrs. Maglalang at least blog and commentate, but Palin does like nothing. She’s just there.

    • daeghrefn

Well, as is Hillary now. And as was Romney from 2008-2012. And as was Reagan from 1968-1976, maybe even 1968-1980.

Ummmm…Michael Waltrip is conservative. I’ve followed him on Twitter for quite some time now, and trust me…conservative. I took the remark as an honest to goodness joke. I so don’t want the right to become the humorless, can’t-take-a-joke-for-shit morons that liberals have become.
