Aw, isn’t DiFi special?

Dianne Feinstein, Chris Murphy and fellow gun-grabbing lawmakers are scheduled to introduce a new ban on “weapons of war” at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Everyone ready for gun control theater?

According to CNN’s Dana Bash, Feinstein got special “permission” to parade assault weapons (also known as deadly “devises”) at her dog and pony show. Did she get the OK from the same people who gave David Gregory the green light to place himself above the law?

No word on whether DiFi will actually define “assault weapons,” but if her preview was any indication, the rough translation is “guns that offend my aesthetic sensibilities.”

Update:

DiFi’s exhibit:

    What a tool;or is that tool-ess or maybe tool-ette?

  • Red Fred

Senator Feinstein, poor darling, is going to have to deal with women in combat, after all her comments regarding women: “Women are not capable of defending themselves with ‘death machines’ we call guns.Women were designed to produce life, not take it away.”

    • Hiraghm

Won’t be a problem; she’ ll just be proven right.

    • Lord Foggybottom

Senator Feinstein is a death machine.

    • jebova2301

I hate frankenstein as much as the next guy, but she did NOT say that. That was something someone has made up, and now the gun crowd is running around like a bunch of parrots squawking the same thing over and over, with the irony being that she was never the one who said it. I DO NOT stand for ANY new gun regulations. I feel that we should be able to buy ANY firearm we want, and I DO mean fully-automatic as well. The 2nd is about us being able to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government. How are we supposed to do that when we are restricted to weapons that are less capable(less the option of filing the proper ATF forms to get a tax stamp and then spend $18,000+ on a pre-86 firearm)? These rifles she wants to ban are no different than any other hunting rifle, aside from the fact that the AR-15 fires a smaller, less powerful projectile. It is nothing more than a regular old rifle that is dressed up to make it look neat. Pretty much the same as an automatic Honda Civic that has been riced to the max. Though they both may look neat or menacing, neither lives up to the potential it makes you think it has just by looking at it.

    Her face offends me..

    • http://www.facebook.com/noah.lee3 Noah Lee

then, her face might be an assault weapon.

      • Txgirlinnh

I assure you it is, as are most of the mugs of dem women in politics. They assault our eyes every time they leave their homes.

      • WisconsinPatriot

Every time I see her, I feel offended.

  • Hiraghm

I hope someone brings a baseball bat. One of the most common assault weapons out there…

    • $21367552

And responsibly for so many rampages resulting in multiple deaths within minutes.

      • NachoCheese (D)

That would be an unintended consequence of faulty “gun free zone” legislation.

      • James Atkins

How is the gun responsible for that?

    • http://www.facebook.com/richard.diggins.98 Richard Diggins

And if the killer at Sandy Hook had a bat would there have been as many dead? As a Canadian, I applaud Diane. No civilized country has the number of gun issues that the U.S. has, but then we don’t have anything that comes close to your lame, outdated 2nd amendment.

      • NachoCheese (D)

And if Sandy Hook wasn’t a “gun free zone”, maybe that principal could have defended her students with more than futilely lunging at the armed lunatic.

“we don’t have anything that comes close to your lame, outdated 2nd amenment.”

And you are a subject of your sovereign, whereas we Americans are our own sovereign.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude
better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace.
We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which
feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you…”

        Samuel Adams

      • James Atkins

More people die each year by bats than “assault rifles”. Why do we only care when it’s a “mass” killing? If a bat had been used, we would all be blaming the person for the killing and wondering why he did it. Whenever a gun is involved, we are asking why it was everyone else fault but the suspect. We blame the gun lobby, the white people, the Republicans, GWB, global warming…More kids are killed every year in drunk driving accidents, what do you think we should do about it?

If you believe its best for the government/police to have all the guns, then you really don’t understand anything about America.

        • itzyaboi95

That’s how twisted the left’s mentality is.

      • James Atkins

Perhaps if we amended the 2nd amendment as you see fit and bats are also not available, what would stop people who really want to KILL people from.. I don’t know.. making a bomb?

      • WisconsinPatriot

Than you need to return to Canada,eh. We have weapons to protect us from a) the government becoming tyrannical and, b) pansies like you who believe that rights come FROM government. I am really happy Canada suits you so much better, don’t let the border hit you.

      • overboosted

Tell you what Richard – you worry about your failed socialized health care system, and us Americans will worry about protecting our constitutional rights.

        .

      • Brad

It’s arrogant in the extreme for a foreigner on foreign soil to interject in what is by definition an internal American debate. You don’t like our Constitution, then don’t come here!

  • Fire and Adjust!

Diane, next time you want to discuss abortion, make sure you are consistent and bring the tools of THAT trade to display as well…….also make sure you bring lifelike diagrams of the procedures involved so we can all be better informed………..you DO want us to be better informed don’t you?

  • seeyalaterchump

Maybe I can buy one from her? I’d better get in line early!

  • seeyalaterchump

Maybe she got them from “Fast and Furious”! Someone better check the serial numbers!

    • WisconsinPatriot

Those look like “non-assault weapons” to me. I agree, we need to check the serial numbers. Is Holder looking nervous?

  • seeyalaterchump

Maybe that’s why I can’t find one to buy. She bought them all, with our money!

  • Belinda Henry

Any of those from Fast and Furious?

  • Lord Foggybottom

Liberal policies have caused way more death and destruction than any law abiding citizen with an “assault weapon.”

    • WisconsinPatriot

      Absolutely!

  • http://twitter.com/LibertyRanger Liberty Ranger

The fact she has those guns at the pressor is PROOF. Guns are not Violent.

    • ceemack

She’ll need to be careful. One of those guns might load itself, jump up and start shooting people all on its own.

    • http://www.facebook.com/richard.diggins.98 Richard Diggins

Guns don’t kill people, it’s people with guns who kill people. So, time to amend your lame 2nd amendment. From Canada with love.

      • James Atkins

IN your opinion, how should it be changed? What do you think is so lame about it?

        • John L. Krueger

Oh come now, don’t encourage the troll!

      • WisconsinPatriot

We will keep our “lame” 2nd amendment. You can return to the country you love,eh.

      • therantinggeek

        Dear Richard,

Seeing that you admitted you live in Canada, focus on your own problems within your country rather than throw stones across the border at us. Otherwise, feel free to emigrate and become a naturalized U.S. citizen, eh.

        – TRG

      • ForTheRepublic

With 4 whole comments to your name, and a fake profile picture, do you expect anyone to take you seriously as a troll around here?

  • $29561723

According to the esteemed Senator, my new bolt action deer rifle is an “assault weapon” because of it’s detachable magazine. A Mauser-based bolt-action rifle. Yep. Hey DiFi, make sure you look down the barrel to check that your Fast & Furious guns aren’t loaded.

  • bonnieblue2A

Hoplophobia is a mental disorder. Clearly Sen. Feinstein suffers this as a chronic form of the condition and should surrender her own CHL.

Make no mistake, Sen. Feinstein and her ruling class intend to disarm currently law abiding citizens. Ask yourselves why. It sure isn’t for the children!

  • ceemack

I say we ban all Senators with two features–too many pearls and not enough brains.

  • http://twitter.com/MoueLaMoue Moue La Moue (D)

I can’t wait to see which rifles and pistols she has set up. I would really like to know which tool I am going to be attempting to get my law-abiding hands on next. Thanks, DiFi, you make it so much easier for me to narrow down my choices! There are SO many, after all.

  • bidentime

Will the good Senator be turning in her weapons along with those of any security team she has for her protection?

    • WisconsinPatriot

That was in the memo I read. I look forward to watching DIFI pulling her piece, denouncing it as a “naughty killing machine” and then ordering her security contingent to do likewise…………..WAAAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAAA! (snort) HAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAA………oh, I am killing(metaphorically) myself here!

    • Gallatin

Absolutely not, difi is not one of the “ordinary people” that politicians like to mention when they are getting ready to screw us in order to “help us”.

  • Peyton

Do we have any sharp eyed military grunts out there who can watch? Would love to have someone make sure Feinstein is carrying guns that are already banned under current law.

    • NachoCheese (D)

On the upper right, I note the M16A1 (you can tell by the handguard), a fully automatic version of the M16 not used by the American military since the Vietnam era. One of those cannot be owned without a Class III FFL, so it is effectively banned under current law (unless of course that is just another AR15 with Vietnam era handguards attached).

I don’t get why there are 3 AR15s (upper 2 on left, and center middle), that only differ on cosmetic attachments.

      • Peyton

        Thanks.

      • FGCU_James

Because most weapons bans (the previous AWB included) focus mostly on cosmetic attachments, since the creators of these bills don’t know the first thing about guns (or gun safety for that matter, see the W. Virginia Dem. who waved an AK-47 around in the WV state capitol), so they just arbitrarily ban things that they think are scary or otherwise intimidating.

  • Jim Denney

Is Piers Morgan gonna be there with his musket?

    • WisconsinPatriot

You mean his………(wait for it)……….Assault Rifle?

  • Lin Jarvis

#AWB2013 My gun is a defense weapon

  • http://twitter.com/1RandiStarr Randi Starr

Shouldn’t leave this crazy old lady alone with a plastic spoon!

  • Rob

Holy smokes! DiFi found a collection of weapons with military style user-specific customization!
The Founding Fathers did NOT intend civilians to own firearms that can be set-up in an ergonomic fashion!
They expected that guns be uncomfortable as possible to use. The only thing that will stop mass shootings is the discouragement of a sore shoulder and arms from the recoil and labor intensive task of changing 10 round magazines.

  • abnormalslc

Does @SenFeinstein employ armed guards? Is her moronic display of weapons guarded by armed guards? #hypocrisy

  • abnormalslc

my SKS never shot anyone .It is safe and kept from shooting at random…. #goodthingIboughtit so it can not roam on its own.

  • abnormalslc

@SenFeinstein is an assault to me, and to all logic known to man. Ban her please.

  • http://resministries.org/ Arthur E Jackson

What part of Shall Not Be Infringed I am misunderstand? I thought the 2nd was a God given right, and government could not infringe upon it? I didn’t know Feinstein was God the creator.

You mean my tax dollars pay her salary? So I am paying her to steal my rights?

How about we make a law, no one receiving tax payer money/welfare can vote until they are no longer on the dole. Then the Obama’s and the Feinsteins of the world couldn’t get elected to start with.

Did she take a oath of office? I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

So by usurping the 2nd Amendment does that make her a domestic enemy, treasonous at it’s core? Shouldn’t any elected official who usurps the constitution either by word or deed be removed and tried?
Why are the Moderate Democrat’s and the Republicans even entertaining a bill to infringe upon the peoples right to bear arms? Shouldn’t they not even allow a discussion on this issue?

  • http://resministries.org/ Arthur E Jackson

One more note MSNBC which I don’t watch reported that there were no Assault rifles used at Sandy Hook. The shooter used 4 handguns, the Assault rifle was recovered after the shooter shot himself from the trunk of his car. Of course they didn’t report this until after OSama/Obama did his Executive Order deal. Which by the way only applies to Federal employees, the executive order that is.

When are we going to get some representation with some brains and balls to stop these communist pretending to be democrat’s from bankrupting America, and stealing our rights.

There should be a three day waiting period on the publication of all newspapers, and any books not in lock step with Obama are now banned. It’s only one amendment away, from the second. http://lexrex.com/enlightened/AmericanIdeal/

America stop paying taxes until someone listens, and acts according to the constitution and it’s founding principals.

  • Junie3

Abortion lobby is above the cross lobby and this clown has plenty of blood and blood money on her well manicured hands.

  • r_coplin2001

Diane Feinstein the people here in California didnt send you to Washington DC to trample the 2nd Amendment please reconsider what you are doing.Which Amendment will be the next one to go i bet its the 1st Amendment.

  • Frustrated Teacher

There SHOULD be a law that no politician can propose ANY rules or laws about things that they are COMPLETELY IGNORANT about!! This would be one of those cases (and MOST of what Nanny Bloomberg is trying to do as well). Facts and reality NEVER get in the way of the agenda of the left!

  • Dustin

I think all of this comes about as a result of an overwhelming ignorance of guns. Things folks should know:
    1. The AR-15 rifle fires .223 caliber (diameter as a percentage of an inch) rounds. Caliber is defined as a bullet’s diameter.

    2. This caliber works in standard .22 caliber hunting rifles (that is to say that common hunting rifles fire a nearly identical round)

    3. The AR-15 is the semi-automatic version of the M-16. The difference is that the AR-15 can only fire one bullet per trigger squeeze, whereas the M-16 (issued to only military police can’t even carry it) has a fire selection switch allowing it to fire semi-auto or three round burst (the first version of the M-16 called the “M-16 A1” (the three round burst version is called “M-16A2” and was built to replace the A1 to save ammunition for the military) which is no longer manufactured as issued first in Vietnam replaced the three round burst option with a full auto option, but these would be very difficult if not impossible to obtain aside from a gun show). The point is that the AR-15 cannot fire hundreds of rounds per minute, in fact, assuming the shooters were using thirty round magazines, the person would have to reload quickly and have a very fast trigger finger. I would say given reload time and the limits of the mechanism a person may be able to fire three magazines if they had practice (that’d be 90 rounds)

    4. Further, seeing as .22 caliber hunting rifle magazines are available, why are AR-15’s any different? Because they are covered in black plastic and look similarly to military rifles? I thought the left was all about being impartial and not judging things (and people) by their appearance?!

    5. Lastly, is a knife, bat, or any other blunt object dangerous when sitting in a closet, butcher block or drawer or being carried to a ball field? Or can all of these things become dangerous when wielded by a person with a specific intent? I would certainly think that a knife isn’t dangerous when its in my butcher block, but if someone were planning upon attacking me with it the it would be. Is the problem guns, or people?
