During a contentious interview on “Morning Joe” today, GOP Rep. Tim Huelskamp slammed Speaker Boehner’s leadership on the fiscal cliff negotiations and ripped gun-grabbers for politicizing the Sandy Hook massacre.

Huelskamp was one of the conservatives ousted from the Budget Committee earlier this month.

As CNN contributor Erick Erickson noted last night:

Huelskamp was against Boehner’s “Plan B” measure and is staunchly opposed to tax increases.

Tim Huelskamp’s name was trending on Twitter this morning after Joe Scarborough exploded at the outspoken conservative’s remarks about politicizing the Connecticut tragedy:

Do you dare come on my show and say I am using the slaughter of 20 little six and seven-year-old children, I’m using that for political purposes, Tim?

Watch the video here:

Objective” MSNBC “journalist” Mika Brzezinski took to Twitter to call the congressman’s beliefs “disturbing.”

In case it wasn’t clear which side of the issue Brzezinski is on, she also retweeted these tweets:

Because nothing says “I’m interested in fruitful, civil debate” like calling your opponents “abject morons.”

The progressive Twittersphere joined Brzezinski in making it clear that Huelskamp is ticking off all the right people.

Looks like those “national conversations” about gun violence and fiscal sanity are coming along swimmingly.

    Morning Joke.

  • Jack Deth

Mika and company would be hilarious in their stupidity if they weren’t so sickeningly sad.

Boehner and the House Republicans gave Obama what he wanted while campaigning in 08. And Obama moved the goal posts.

    Wash.
    Rinse.
    Repeat.

Must be a day that ends in “Y”.

  • Steve_J

Boehner’s plan B was to raise taxes on millionaire in return for a debate next year on entitlement cuts. Ask yourself why Obama wouldn’t go for that and get the added benefit of rolling Boehner at the same time.

        Yes she is very disturbed

yet another reason to cut your cable or dish!

  • Justin Case

Tim Huelskamp R Kansas – never heard of him – but I’m in total agreement – Run him for POTUS next go around.

  • Justin Case

No new taxes on anyone – until spending cuts are in effect for a period of time necessary to asses their effectiveness – and stop using these children’s deaths to advance the anti 2nd amendment agenda. Simple.

    • Timothy Noonan

As stated to another – We did use the deaths of 3000 and four hijacked airplanes to remove 4th amendment rights.

Joe Scarborough the other day was speaking to one of his guests and said something to the affect hey you’re a conservative like I am…blah blah. I about threw up thinking how crazy that sounded.

  • NCRelite

I’m surprised to find out the Morning Joke hasn’t been canceled yet

    • lainer51

MSDNC doesn’t cancel anyone, no matter how bad the ratings are… they take what they can get, and it ain’t much..

      • radishthegreat

        They did fire Queef Olbermann…

        • http://twitter.com/thetugboatphil TugboatPhil

He pretty much fires himself, wherever he goes.

Their Lock Up shows on the weekends get higher ratings then their “news” shows. That right there tells you something about who actually watches LSDNC.

Mika could never have made it on her own. Quit living off of your daddys name Mika

    • Timothy Noonan

I can think of a couple of others, one in particular, who made it off of their Daddy’s name.

I particularly loved the idiotic comment about the GOP’s supposed love for “assault guns”. An assault gun is an armored vehicle with a heavy cannon mounted in the hull. Hey, it might be fun, but I don’t want buy the diesel fuel for one–I doubt the mileage is very good. The tracks would probably screw up my driveway.

On the other hand, nobody would fight me for a parking space at the mall…

I find EVERY interview with Mika “disturbing”

  • David Maggard

This Wimpy-esque deal where Dems will gladly give us spending cuts years from now for tax increases today. Its no more reasonable in taxes and government than it is with hamburgers on popeye. I believe that “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” is pretty clear to understand. And 9/11 is a perfect example, 9/11 gave us The Patriot act and the TSA, a poorly thought-out law that guts our rights, and an agency that is feeling up eight-year-olds, and didn’t stop the shoe-bomber or the underwear bomber. Kneejerk, rushed laws and policies as a response to a tragedy leads to crappy laws and policies.

  • Steve_J

Gun laws are a Second Amendment issue and a political issue. So to Joey, yes you are are using the deaths of 6 and 7 year olds to push a political agenda.

    • Timothy Noonan

We did use the deaths of 3000 and four hijacked airplanes to remove 4th amendment rights.

  • J.N. Ashby

You know what? I hope taxes do go up for everyone, and not just millionaires. After all, Obama always says “We’re all in this together.” Doesn’t he?

  • Gallatin

Nope won’t click the links, it would mean that I would have to watch libturd media people act like their being objective.

  • KansasGirl

I’m a Kansan that is proud of Tim Huelskamp.

  • NCRelite

It was a setup from the beginning. We need to prep our guys more, the media is not our friend. Even guys from Fox News, Chris Wallace for example. Our people need to know the rebuttals to put the lefties on the defensive

    • Timothy Noonan

Why are the media supposed to be friends to the people they interview?

  • edward cropper

Joe Scagbourogh who is a certified flip flopper has the gall to question this man’s integrity. I wouldn’t give Mourning Joe the time of day. I only see his garbage from clips run by other soft conservative blogs. Mika is totally useless.

  • sean1

    Who is this person again?

  • http://twitter.com/CDChambers62 Chris Chambers

Liberals will never get it. No point in even having these discussions with them. Drunk on spending, they need an intervention. And funny how self-righteous Joe gets. What a phony.

  • Bigeddie173

That’s why I am glad I don’t have cable. I get better news sources online.

  • American Avant Garde

Who are these loony commies, and why the hell are they on television?

    That’s what is disturbing.

The contrast between reason and their bloviations is so stark i have to ask myself what America they were raised in…. Banning sufficient weaponry and raising taxes to unprecedented levels without making spending cuts… that’s radical…
