No evolving on the bench, please.

Mark Levin also weighed in on who Trump should select. While he leans toward Utah Sen. Mike Lee, he emphasizes that the most important characteristic to be considered is the person’s commitment to the Constitution.

Lee’s name has not appeared on President Trump’s reported short list of candidates, which seems to spotlight Amy Barrett, Raymond Kethledge, and Brett Kavanaugh as most likely to be chosen. The New York Times also reports that Thomas Hardiman is receiving a fresh look from the Trump team as a potential nominee.

I will devote all my energies to ensuring that we confirm the kind of Supreme Court justice America needs: a justice who says what the law is, not what she wants it to be; a justice who calls balls and strikes instead of swinging for the fences; a justice whose foremost allegiance is to the American people and to the Constitution.

That led to increased speculation that Barrett will be Trump’s choice.

Regardless of who gets the nod, there will be intense attacks and the requisite amount of fake news spread about the individual.

We will find out who will be the new favorite target for the Left Monday night.

Editor’s Note:  This post has been updated with the addition of Thomas Hardiman as a potential Supreme Court nominee.
