At least 10 injured, several dead after "mass shooting" at video game tournament in Jacksonville, Fla.; Updated

A “mass shooting” has reportedly taken place at Jacksonville Landing, a popular area of downtown Jacksonville, Fla.

A Madden video game tournament was taking place, and early estimates indicate more than a dozen people were shot.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed the news and urges people to stay away from the area.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott says he has been updated and will continue to receive updates from law enforcement.

L.A. Times correspondent Matt Pearce reports that the shooter was a gamer who lost and killed himself in the process of shooting.
