John McCain reportedly returning to Arizona, won't vote on the GOP tax bill

CBS News is reporting that Sen. John McCain will return to his home in Arizona and won’t remain in Washington to vote on the GOP’s tax bill.

Here are a few of the details:

McCain left Washington Sunday and is heading back to his home state to spend the holidays with his family. He will not be on hand for the final vote on the GOP tax passage expected for early this week. It is unclear when McCain might return to Washington.

His daughter, Meghan, also provided an update on the senator’s status.
