As you may know, ESPN has suspended Jemele Hill for violating the network’s social media guidelines. Predictably, some read that as ESPN suspending her because of her race.
Jemele Hill was basically suspended for being Black and thoughtful while at ESPN. Her suspension is completely outrageous.

American sports have ALWAYS existed at the intersection of race & politics. This is true now, more than ever. https://t.co/RO363eLDf3

Everything Jemele tweeted over the past 48 hours were talked about in Black living rooms, barbershops, and beauty salons ALL WEEKEND. https://t.co/RO363eLDf3

Fundamentally, it truly seems that ESPN is so disconnected from the Black experience that when Jemele's tweets reflect it, they are bothered https://t.co/RO363eLDf3

Fundamentally, your tweet is very disconnected from reality. Britt McHenry, Linda Cohn, Curt Shilling and probably others suspended by ESPN would beg to disagree with your premise.
Odd, I think @BrittMcHenry has something to say about that. https://t.co/lh9h5FxnrT

Oh, and then there’s Al Sharpton trying to defend someone getting suspended for threatening a boycott by … threatening a boycott.
ESPN's suspension of Jemele Hill is an outrage and should NOT go unanswered. ESPN and advertisers will hear from us!

LOL!
Yeah that's kind of what got her suspended but you do you https://t.co/xMlRdFi3Nd

MSESPN will now be devoured by alt left wing it tried to court. Going to be fun to watch. https://t.co/fV0cu0u18j

She went after an NFL owner. You’re not winning this one. https://t.co/8sJzzWCQRt

With all of the boycotts going on and being threatened, when do we reach a point when no one even knows what anyone’s boycotting?
Sharpton's boycotting ESPN for suspending Jemele Hill who is boycotting ESPN ads because Jerry Jones is boycotting players who are boycotting the national anthem. https://t.co/87kkQgNMhx

Pretty much sums it up.
