Democratic Rep. Jackie Speier told MSNBC Sunday afternoon that the ties between President Trump and Russia will amount to a scandal as big if not bigger than Watergate. When asked whether she could substantiate her insinuation, she offered no evidence and instead started talking about Vladimir Putin.

She admits she has seen no evidence. This is pathetic.

This is a very dangerous game for Democratic politicians to be playing. When no evidence is presented, the base is not going to be pleased.

And apparently, Rep. Speier has not seen the memo from “key Democratic officials” warning the base not to expect evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia.
Not only was there no evidence of collusion between Trump & Russia, there was no collusion between Trump & Russia. https://t.co/4cQGcn5lWX

Additionally, House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes also said there was no evidence of it.

If Rep. Speier’s intention was to divulge information that will heavily damage the Trump administration, she failed miserably. On the other hand, if she wanted to make headlines as a representative few have ever heard of, she accomplished her mission.
