President-elect Donald Trump released the following statement via Twitter regarding the outcome of the presidential election.
In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally

It would have been much easier for me to win the so-called popular vote than the Electoral College in that I would only campaign in 3 or 4–

The latest tabulation of the popular vote shows Hillary Clinton leading with 64,156,255 overall votes. That is nearly two million ahead of Donald Trump’s 62,238,425 overall votes.
