Hillary Clinton’s running mate, Gov. Tim Kaine, had a difficult time cobbling together a defense for the campaign’s disparaging remarks about Catholics.

Watch Kaine, who is Catholic, attempt to explain away this issue on ABC:

So after questioning the validity of the email (which, as Martha Raddatz pointed out to him, the author of the email confirmed that he sent it), Kaine launches into spin mode about how Hillary respects all faiths, and he refused to apologize for the language.
