New information released tonight says that the suspect in the attack, Mohamed Barry, was “known” to the FBI prior to yesterday’s incident:

Police also released a detailed report of what happened last night, saying Barry was first shot with a Taser that was “ineffective.” Officers then opened fire on Barry after he “lunged” at them, resulting in his death:
