We’re seeing reports of three people shot at a mini-mart, including a police officer, and hostages taken by a gunman in the southwestern Louisiana town of Sunset:

Update from the Advocate:
A Sunset police officer and two others were shot at a Sunset mini mart where eight people are being held hostage, Louisiana State Police spokesman Sgt. James Anderson confirmed.
The officer was airlifted to an area hospital.
The officer’s condition and other details were not immediately known. Acadian Ambulance reports eight ambulances and three helicopters are responding.
